anyways aate hai aaj k episode pe.
A very carefully written episode this one was...
I am thoroughly impressed once again...
We see how Ananya tries to do damage control by calling over Khurana at the last minute and our Kabir very tactfully curbs the attention (of the viewers) away from the unaired but promised footage and towards Khurana... well executed.
A special thanks to Inspector saab for saving Kabir's izzat and mentioning it was Ananya who called him, If he wouldn't have then perhaps Malvika would have taken the credit, aur phir mai gusse se TV torh deti.
I loved how Richa taunted Manav with her hyperbole wala sass... good to see she can defend her friend and also put people to their right place, Manav's comeback though infuriating was equally enjoyable..
"issi bahane se ek naya word seekhliya, meri vocabulary k lite achhi hai."
Amazingly pulled off, SunnyJi (Manav's real name) ko flowers bhejne ka dil karraha hai. Superb.
Our Reel Sunny did an excellent job too... "kisi bhoot ne thodi na chip churayi hai" was fantastic!!
But.. that scene was really heartbreaking when Kabir looks at Ananya through the PCR window and she guiltily lowers her gaze, the hurt accusative expression on his face literally screamed "tumne mera yakeen tod diya Ms. Kashyap" I felt so bad for both especially Kabir, his professionalism is his identity, his power and the woman he loved, he respected, took pride in had unintentionally put his everything at stake.
Pyaar apni jagah par gussa toh aayega hi nae! I agree with the makers that he needed to reprimand her and in public, zaroori tha, isliye tha because we all know and Kabir too realizes that in private he doesn't have the upper hand on her anymore, had they been alone she would have said something which might have weakened his will to scold her, to show her the way things really are...
And more or less the mistake was hers too, say, Malvika didn't steal the chip, somehow it fell, it got damaged... kuch bhi ho sakta hai, and moreover she should have kept backup.
When some people (like me) keep backup for things like their instagram selfies, 😃 ye toh bohot hi important evidence hai yaar.
Its high time she woke up and I'm glad it was Kabir who brought in the alarm clock. she needed the reality check.
But after the public lambasting, I thought that the makers would extend the scene for at least one more episode, I thought they would show Ananya dwelling on the incident she would be upset and guilty, Kabir too would reflect on his action and regret screaming on her.. It would all have had happened had this been any other show, but.. I have to remember that this is Reporters... And our writer Sahab likes things hatke!! My bad!! I'm SOOO GLAD they didn't drag it!! It was Perfect...
Ananya called Kabir to drop her home, even after he scolded her, even though she felt humiliated in front of her friends, she initiated the first step... and Kabir agreed just like a Mature Adult would... Just like he promises he kept his personal and professional lives apart... That girl was his subordinate who (unintentionally) messed things up, this one however was his girlfriend asking him to drop her, and he respected the request... Brilliant!! Also if any of you have noticed, Our writer stands firm with every message he gives out...
The JSP segment where Kabir/writer says: Dooriya daraare tab banne lagti hai jab baate zuban pe na hoke man me hone lage, this line reflected perfectly in the car scene, yes they were upset with each other but they verbally expressed it, letting the other know where they were at fault, this gives the partner a chance o realize, correct and not repeat the mistake, Beautiful executed by Raj and Kittu; and I loved it...
Agar baat karke baat khatam kii ja sakti hai to bewaja baat ko kyu barhae??
Another little thing I loved was that part when Ananya says something like "bas hafte bhar ka hi tha na pyaar, khatm hogaya, mujhe daantne k liye betaab horahe the aap, kaese Ms Kashap ko daanta jaye, usse sunaya jai..." and Kabir's expression was like
"Kabhi toh mujhe samajhti nahi ye ladki bas shuru hojati hai" BUT... like the true gentleman he is, instead of lashing out or rebuking her, he gets out of the car, exhales, clears his head and returns with that sweet and heart warming , "ab kya mai tum he daant bhi nahi sakta"
Awww! I melted right there...
And I laughed so hard when Ananya walked off showing all that sass and our Kabira tries preventing her by saying "Ab to koi auto bhi nahi milegi" and right then it appears, the timing was so comical, so hilarious! I was like Autowaale ne naak katwa di editor sahab ki... And Rajeev!!! ❤️ The man can emote so perfectly! his look was simply unforgettable...
But again another heart-touching gesture when he follows her to ensure she reached safely, I was so moved, I went all teary eyed, even my mom asked what's wrong I just hugged her and wept, I know it was really silly and childish of me, but such was the power of the scene... In a world where we see men abusing, insulting even selling women, mistreating them, this scene was like a few drops of rain after the drought, reminding us that all men are not the same, many have humane and humble aspects as well, chivalry is not dead.
Kabir Sharma may have innumerable flaws (as Richa n others presume) but he has his heart in the right place, his values are intact... Though everything is fictional I must say, Ananya is a very very lucky girl... what would I not give to have someone love me like that.. *sigh* I've become emotional now. anyways...
A standing ovation for the writer, very well done!
Now saving the best for the last... Malvika..
she simply stole the show today!!
Guys do u remember the first episode when Ananya called her ma'am and how she replied with all that swagger and coolness..
"Malvika, Malvika nam rakha tha mere parents ne mera"
or in the fourth episode when Kabir first read the news, and Ananya went to the PCR to meet Ronnie and there she happily exclaimed,
"You know Kabir sir is my idol, I just love him!"
then Malvika very sassily reminded her to be a bit more careful before announcing her crush...
"Baby doll!! Apne Barbie crushes announce karne she pehle ye toh check karlo k PCR me mike on hai ya nahi"
I was like wow! This is one hell of an impressive character!! I had a lot of expectations from her but over the course of time, Malvika's image and charm only deteriorated... After the clause 6A wala incident I officially disliked her, I was really upset they failed to utilize Malvika's potential and turned her into a regular cheap vamp...
The desperation never suited her business-woman exterior, the actress is simply brilliant, her screen presence commands attention, at times she even outshines Kittu.
I love Malvika's fashion sense, a huge round of applause for the costume designer and stylist, She looks classy jaw-dropping even if she's scowling.
Back to today's episode..
When Ananya confronts hers, she doesn't panic or let's on the truth even though we later find out how scared and paranoid she was actually, she handles it like a business deal, if we didn't know she was the culprit I don't think we too would have doubted her. That was the flare Malbika and it was refreshing her back in that avatar.
That moment when Ananya returns after Malvika throws the chip in the bin... I was like, Ye t0h range haath pakar legi but fortunately for Malvika nothing happens..
I'm really interested to know what Mallu will do with the chip, she fears keeping it, she can't destroy it either as now it is police evidence... Such a dilemma but I hope at the end of the day her dignity stays unscathed. Because if I have understood about Kabir Sharma at all, he will not spare if he knew she tried jeopardizing not only his love life but also his prestige and career...
Malvika beta abhi bhi waqt hai sudhar jaa... now even if people don't like her, she still holds her command, her staff fears her respects her even, when the office will get to know her misdeeds, I shudder at what opinion they will form of her.
And I honestly don't hate her that much to want it.
Anyways the Sadu wala teaser was so intriguing, I can't wait for tomorrow!! How will Kabira react to this? Dekhne me maza ayega...
