There has been a lot of speculation and mixed opinions on Kabir Sharma from the time his character came into focus in Reporters.I'm sure all viewers will agree with me that he is the life-blood of this show. He is not only the pivotal character of the show but his presence lights up the screen and makes hearts of almost every female viewer begin to beat fast (including me of course)... whenever I see him on the screen I think pf the song..."my heart goes boom boodi boom"...a very old one but fits perfectly I think...No doubt the credit goes to Rajeev Khandelwal whose portrayal of this enigmatic character is absolutely flawless...
Now coming to the character Kabir Sharma...He is branded as a womaniser...a man who uses people, and women for his own gains and then ditches them...He is supposed to be arrogant, egoistic, ruthless in his professional life...You name it and all the faults which can be found in any human being are supposed to be in him...In short he is a man from whom girls should run miles away soon as he comes within sight...but still girls/ladies/women fall for him...they go out of their way to lure him...to get closer to him...Why? Put it on his charismatic personality...Handsome, charming, attentive to ladies...wow he definitely sounds like God's gift to women...
Now coming to the real Kabir...I call him an enigma because that's precisely what the character is...He has a side to him that very very few people know...I would say only Tarini, Anurag, and probably Lakshman and Panditji.
For the rest of the world he is what he portrays himself to be in public.
Now the question is why the two sides to Kabir? The reason is obviously rooted deep into his past. No one except the few close to him know what happened in his past. So obviously no one has a good impression about him. As for Kabir he wants every one to believe the worst about him including Ananya.
After watching yesterday's episode I, and I'm sure many of you all also will be of the opinion that he has heard practically Ananya's full monologue in his office. Hence his flirtatious behaviour with Malvika in front of Ananya. It is obvious that he is making a deliberate attempt to literally make Anaya hate him. Reason again is his past.
It has been obvious that he likes her, feels drawn to her because of her strength of character, her integrity and all the positive things he sees in her. But again he wants to simply name it as attraction and does not want to accept that his feelings for her are deeper than he cares to acknowledge. He wants to run away from emotional entanglements...reason would most definitely be his messy divorce and the scandals involving his divorce-Tarini-Anurag etc...

Now coming to Ananya's reaction to enigmatic Kabir. She has heard almost all of her friends giving negative views on Kabir, advising her that her feelings are not well-founded, that he will play with her feelings and then betray her...etc, etc...In support of her feelings and Kabir also, she has only two things till date...
One is her satisfaction that he was the only one who had supported her father when he had been wrongly accused and had believed in his honesty...But again that was partially negated by Kabir breaking the news of her father's death quite insensitively...
Another is the Kabir she saw during their kidnapping...A brave, somewhat humorous, caring person...As against that she has seen the Kabir post-accident...What would a girl as impressionable as Ananya make of this enigmatic personality? No doubt the poor girl is so confused. To top it all her friends are also not helping her, instead they are confusing her even more. And Kabir saab is also contributing to this confusion...knowingly I guess.
Whenever I try to think of who is right and who is wrong my head begins to reel. Figuring out Kabir is like a a see-saw ride. it is only he, the great Kabir himself who can help Ananya out of her predicament. And he doesn't seem ready or willing to do it any time soon. In such circumstances a catalyst is needed. One who knows Kabir inside out and who can show Ananya the real Kabir. I hope we get that catalyst in the form of Tarini. As I feel it is only she who will not only knock some sense into Kabir and make him let go of his past, and accept that he has a future with Ananya, but who will also make Ananya realise the truth behind Kabir's current persona. Till then it is going to be a series of MUs and each will be hurting the other and in the process hurting themselves even more.
