a lot of speculations going on in the forum assumed that Sudhir Kashyap case and Tarini might be related. remember these are all speculations and not confirmed facts from the show. the speculations assumed that Kabir might have sent Tarini, his junior, on a sting to unravel the truth which failed and Tarini got r*ped and pregnant. while this may explain Anurag's age, i dont agree with it. this theory assumes that Kabir was already a senior reporter 8yrs back. if SK's case happened 8yrs ago, then why he failed to do something substantial, even failed to contact the Kashyap family despite being a senior reporter?
so as per me, Kabir Sharma was a mere junior reporter 8yrs back, same as Ananya now. remember Ananya tells him that his article about her father was published in Janta Times, which was Kabir's first job. how can someone be a senior reporter in his first job itself? Kabir had drinking issues, which made him slap his JT editor (my assumption) which made him lose his job within 3days of joining. then he joined Delhi Kranti as a junior reporter and rose to become a senior reporter before taking up his post as EIC in KKN. it's in Delhi Kranti he met Tarini after he became a senior reporter. by this time he's already married to Shreya, who's unhappy with his professional failures and complex nature. Tarini was already a single mother, with a son from her boyfriend who had dumped her. Kabir and Tarini soon became good friends, and Kabir tried to sort out issues between Tarini and her bf. her bf was desperately trying to escape the embarrassment of owning up his responsibility towards Tarini and his son, and framed Tarini and Kabir of having an affair and blew it out of proportion. the news of the alleged affair reached Shreya, who in furious rage, refused to believe any explanation Kabir had to offer and threw a divorce on his face and walked out on him. this divorce happened 4-5yrs ago maximum.
