Since the promos were put on SET site and the pre-cap was shown on Monday there were speculations gal;ore about a jealousy track coming up. Having seen 40+ episodes of this show I had some confidence in the creative team that they would steer clear of such a 'ghisa-pita' (age old) track. And I was happy to see that my confidence had not been misplaced.
Coming to the episode...there was nothing in it that had not so far been shown in Indian soaps. What impressed me was the aesthetic way such common feelings had been showcased. Let me take one thing at a time:

1. Episode starts with the Kashyap's coming to terms with the fact that Mr Kashyap was no more. A very simple and straightforward reality which could have led to extreme melodrama was underplayed by mother and daughter. Both admitting that they had been living in a fool's paradise all these years when they should have accepted that he would not return. I have always thought of Kritika as a good performer but as Ananya she has taken me by surprise. I now think of her as a superb actor. Beautiful she definitely is, but her acting prowess is superlative. Expressive eyes, pain showing in her eyes and her face and in her dialogue delivery...all these would make the viewer deeply feel her pain..at least I did...So also her mother (sorry don't know the name of the actress). The way she admitted she should have accepted this way before was heart wrenching. The family huddled together and shedding tears...It made me sad just thinking what they must be going through.

2. Shifting to our editor-in-chief Kabir Sharma, I don't think words are needed to describe Rajeev Kahandelwal as an actor. Handsome, debonair, oozing sex-appeal, and other physical attributes he has always been loved for. Acting-wise also he has given great performances, and has been much loved as Captain Rajveer Singh and of course as Sujal. As Kabir he has not only shown that he is a handsome much-sought-after catch in the media world, but a man with great depth of feelings. His nonchalant attitude to most and his caring attitude to some (those he is close to), like Tarini, Anurag and now Ananya...I have only one word for it...Superb...The way he was filled with apparant guilt for having told Ananya the truth about her father's suicide, his anger at himself for always supporting the truth, his remorse at not being able to share, relieve or at least reduce Ananya's grief was beautifully shown. He kept saying he wanted to soothe her, help her but he was reduced to being just an helpless observer...That in itself was enough for anyone to realise his feelings for her...

3. Coming to Ronnie. I appreciate the way his character has so far been shown. Soon as he came to know the reason for Ananya not being at work the true friend in him came to the forefront. Putting his feelings for her aside he only knew he had to be there with her in this time of need lending support to her and her family. Loved the way he told Malvika I'm going as a friend. To the extent that for friendship he was even prepared to resign. Hats off to you Ronnie. Wish all of us had a true friend like you in our lives, one who is as selfless as you are.

4. Malvika. What to say about her? Self-centered, calculating, egoistic, unfeeling, wanting her way in everything because of the fact that she is the owner's daughter and thereby the owner, not to forget manipulative. Well she did try some stunts by first accusing Kabir about what she assumed would have happened during the Baghi rescue mission, then trying to use her trump card to upset him by saying Ronnie is also there. I was elated to see that the only reaction she got from our KS was a thanks and a quiet walk out from the office, leaving her seething in anger.

5. In the last bit once again Kabir/Rajeev stole the show. The way he hesitated before pushing open the door, his expressions when he saw Ananya crying in Ronnie's arms, the depth of feelings his face and eyes expressed...sadness at seeing her crying, hurt that it was Ronnie in whose arms she was seeking comfort when he wanted to give her the same comfort...
Finally in the last scenes, the camera on bottle showing that he had once again turned to the solace liquor gave him...Like he had once again lost out on happiness in his life...

6. And yes how can I forget Tarini...She made a two-minute or even less appearance but her silence spoke volumes. Like Ronnie she was also there with Kabir in silent support and the one sentence she uttered was superb...her saying that I think this has affected you more than Ananya actually were a bolt from the blue to Kabir and maybe made him realise if not fear how his feelings for Ananya were changing.

On a parting note I would like to thank the CVs for giving us such a wonderful episode and depicting commonplace human feelings of love, care, friendship, jealousy, manipulation...etc in such a beautiful way.

Sorry for boring you all with this extra long post but that's the 'Reporters' effect I guess.

Well written.
A very good analysis of yesterday's episodes without loosing any point.
Outstanding performance by Rajeev and Kritha and their counter parts.
Inner turmoil of KaYa especially Kabir.
A bit more on to Kabir side as Tarini mentioned it affected Kabir more than Anaya regarding her fathers death.
He wanted to console, take care, support and stand beside her but first of all she didn't allow him and secondly what all things he wanted to do to her is overtaken by another person.
Seeing this he was badly hurt and sad which we also feel along with him and that's is the speciality of Reporters.
Ronnie as a friend did a wonderful performance.
Lastly the inner feelings of KaYa is crossing the boundaries of more than a friend as per last few episodes.
So waiting for their inner feelings to come out open and realise what they feel for each other and both accepting them without much MU and a third person evil plans.😊
