I always knew tht this dialogue was going to be a death bell of two people! It was going to shatter their lives completely who were barely living by tht very thin shred of hope.
Both had woven thr lives around a hopeful future, picked up pieces of themselves from the rubbles of thr past, rebuilt themselves, and put across to world as strong, stoic, brave, and courageous. To see them going to tatters again was really very painful. Especially when thy had shared a bond of hope, resilience, affection, courage, and valor. Thr understanding of each other had just begun. Thr fship had jst started to bloom! Just when we thot it was going be all okay, the truth had to strike! They cudn't run away from it for it is what defines thr lives. Thy stand by truth in face of adversity and come out triumphant, but when it involves oneself, its difficult to stand tall, bear it with a poise, and hope tht it wud make it less hurtful, especially when thy r not together, to back each other up in the time of need as they always had been.
One was quite vociferous about her feelings, the other cud barely express the damage he underwent.
Alcohol was an easy way out, especially for him being an alcoholic in the past, but it only makes him more human with his set of flaws, demons, complexities, insecurities, with a heart tht cud still bleed when hurt. It proves tht his heart is still alive. He is still alive and is striving to live on tht faint hope of love.
For a person like him and her when thr eyes are set on a particular goal, its always hard to cope up when thy fall. Thr very passion, drive, and ambition burn them out, make thm lose hope and will to ressurect. But those are the very same things tht cud reignite a spark from those dying flames! The same passion wud make thm want it all again all tht thy have lost with same fervor.
So No i m not losing hopes on KaYa! Because we know thy have tendency and predisposition to bounce back from any hard circumstances! Thy have
There is single ray of light at the end of every dark tunnel from where a new light will emerge and take them away to new foregrounds!
Ananya and Kabir are at that end of that tunnel where the light is not yet seen, but will be seen soon enough, after thy stop casting a look back at thr pasts!
No Ananya's hope or trust on Kabir hasnt lost. Her cold and indifferent response to him was a mere reaction of the moment tht Kabir had taken too much to his wanting heart!
All those flashbacks and the retrospect of his interactions with Ananya till date was reflection of his changing attitude, his love and his heart. Its certainly deep and more thn affection and brot forth from a man who had masked it all under a closed calculative stoic self, but with her tears and her broken heart thr emerged a man who is as warm, as sensitive, and as loving as any human being on this earth could be. No he is not stone. He is not savior or a super hero, he is merely a mortal man, who could be wounded, hurt, as deep as it could go!
He was an alcoholic in past which proved how weak his reins over his restraints and his control over his emotions had been. And yet he was holding it all together somehow. He was always fragile, delicately put together from some broken pieces! Handle with care, the tag on his head read, but the packaging over it was so solid tht it betrayed Ananya of the real thing tht is inside. So she came along one day in his life, unravelled him, read him, understood him, and left him exposed to vulnerabilities of his own heart, soul, and concscience. I see no difference in him or her father. I think thts why he cud understand her father better, cud relate, and empathize and Ananya cud jst as easily connect to him, rely and trust.
To whom he took pride in being a hero, flattered by her avid fangirling, grabbed undivided attention, admiration, and adulation, reverence and respect, he couldnt b by her side when she needed her the most. He was capable of it, but he couldnt gather the courage and confidence to step out of his zoned out life, his safely built composed stoic self. Moreover, his self-belief was shattered when she broke down, stripped of last hope tht fuelled her life. To see her slowly extinguishing was too hard for him to take.
No it wasnt Ronnie who made him feel such pain, it was she who pushed him away when all he wanted to do was gather her in his arms, console her, give her courage, hope, and strength and a will to live again and fight like he had done in tht jungle but he couldnt embrace his own truth, tht he was just falling apart inside as she was and he needed her just as much she needed him! He want her trust, her belief, and her faith in him back again and only tht could give him a new breathe of life! And we wud see a new Kabir Sharma whose prime moto in life is to make her happy. For tht, he cant sacrifice himself. He wudnt be if he did.
It was so heart touching to see him go again to her house, in precap, but he couldnt step in to change thr lives as he had done to many. And iN tht weak moment, he mst've thot he deserved the worst and least of all happiness. Self-destruction is one tool tht makes us think tht it can take it all away, all pain and tht unwanted feelings and sufferings, but alas tht doesnt happen, not always. Either one is completely destroyed or a slight ray of hope is still left at the end of tht dark tunnel and tht gives a reason to live again!
Thnk God tht he aint severely injured in tht accident! I hope it gives him a hint of future happiness tht lay in store in his life. He could've died, but he didnt and tht is all tht matters. His dejected heart would seek Ananya's support, love, approval, which we know isnt going to happen any soon because of Tarini MU. She wud come to see him at hospital but wudnt meet him. And although i didnt want tht to happen, a part of me somewhere was secretly rejoicing at tht fact! Coz thr wordless uncommunicated love is far more endearing to watch thn spoken by the words!
Thm not seeing each other wud ignite tht flame of hope and love again which cannot b doused by MUs or difficult circumstances!
I wonder wer the whole Kabir going to Singapore come into picture. I guess he asks for a break and Khalid gives a convinient reason to his staff for his abscence.
Its going to irk Malvika out of her wits and she is going to relay it all to Ananya. Manaav wud again try to take advantage of the situation but he wont b able to succeed this time as the fire tht he had set ablaze in Malvika wud burn him down too! I loved the way Kabir answered her regarding Ananya. Showed her her right place and her petty mind! She can never match up to wat Ananya is.
so it wud b interesting to see how and when Kabir-ananya meet again. What wud go thru thr hearts and mind, how wud thy talk thru thr eyes. wud thr gestures convey more thn words? Will thy b back on some case bantering naturally as it comes to thm and resolve all issues gradaully or wud thy have a heart to heart talk and start from there?
I think Tarini-Kabir issue needed to b sorted out before tht to happen and i am glad thy have taken it up. It will clear Ananya's head.
For now i dont think Kabir sees anything beyond fship in ananya-Ronnie's rship. He knows the difference and he knows how Ananya feels for himself. Those eyelocks werent jst ornamental, put thr to soothe our eyes and flatter our hearts, thy said a lot tht was left unsaid by thm.
I love this subtle touch to the story and the way this serial is directed. Its not overly melodramatic. Things are kept simple and real and yet lot of complexities are woven in with subtle poignancy!
The trend of the big screen is coming on to small screen (Lunch Box, Piku, Dil Dhadakne do!) And its really a treat for us. TRPs or not, Reporters is going to stay in our hearts for a long long time. The characters of Kabir Sharma, Ananya Kashyap, Ronnie, Khalid, Richa are going to be etched in our memories forever like those classic serials and characters of yesteryers!
p.s.: I wud love to comment on Ronnie but I wont. I m too overwhelmed with Kabir and Ananya right now! May b tomorrow we can briefly look into his psyche, understand his mind, and know his desires more clearly. I do not think tht he has slightest of malice in his heart for Kabir or thr growing rship!
