It had been a week since the incident happened at the Sharma mansion. It was something that only remained between the two of them, no one else knew, and Ananya wanted to keep it that way...She didn't confront Khalid as to why he sent her to Interview Kabir Sharma as she knew it wasn't probably his fault from the looks of it, so she kept mum about the whole incident...
Ananya arrived at the KKN office...Settled her self down on her desk, and Richa came to see her...
Richa: hi babes, how are you?
Ananya: I am good, how r u doing?
Richa: I am good too...oh btw, before I forget, Malvika was looking for you...
Just then Khalid came in, and announced, guys I want everyone in the conference room ASAP...Everyone rushed to the conference room...including Malvika and Manav...
Khalid: Hello everyone, I have an important announcement to make...(Looking around the room)
Malvika: Bolo Khalid...any breaking news?
Khalid: Well not for the world, but, for KKN, yes...
Malvika: What do you mean Khalid?
Khalid: Guys, yesterday, KL and I had a meeting...and KL has decided to sale KKN to another company...
Everyone is shocked, and looks at each other...
Manav: But why Khalid, KKN is running just fine??
Khalid: Well, the matter of fact is that, KKN is suffering losses, and KL doesn't wish to continue to support it any longer...Hence the decision...
Malvika: Dad never mentioned this to me...
Khalid: yes Malvika...the decision was taken by board of directors yesterday...
Manav: than what happens to all of us? I mean do we lose our jobs?
everyone looks at Khalid worried...
Khalid: No Manav, there won't be any loss of jobs, only few position changes will happen, but, everyone will have jobs...
Malvika: What do you mean?
Khalid: Well,if you wish to continue with KKN, you all will have to agree to whatever position you are being chosen for...You all will know of your positions, by the end of this meeting...Trust me there are not many changes, just couple of changes have been made by the new boss...And he would like people to report to him directly, instead of middle person...
Manav: What are the changes, please shoot...
OK here it goes
Khalid:
Malvika: you will be working with Manav as senior reporters and you both will be reporting to me...HOwever, you both with operate from the office only, not on field...
Ronnie, Richa, Trisha: you all are in the same positions as before, you all will be reporting to Malvika...
Ananya: What about me sir??
Khalid: (looking in her direction) Well well Ms. Kashyap, you have been appointed at a very special position...you will play the role of a reporter cum assistant to our new boss...You will be reporting to him only...
Ananya: Assistant??? You know I am a reporter Khalid, not some secretary...
Khalid: Yes I am aware of that...But, those are boss's orders...
Ananya: What boss??? who is this person?
Khalid: Well, all will come to know upon his arrivalll...Alright everyone, disburse and get to work...
Ananya was visibly upset as she only wanted to do on field work but, now she has to do office work and on field work whenever allowed...
Everyone around the office was busy preparing for new boss's arrival...wondering who he was, what he was like etc...
Meanwhile, Ananya got a call from her informer, and she left with Sunny to cover the story...While she was gone, a man, tall, prominent jaw line, dressed in a blue business suit entered the office...All girls went gaga over his appearance...And that is when Khalid's eyes fell on him, and he rushed to the door, to welcome this man.
The man was none other than "THE MR. Kabir Sharma"...
Khalid: Can I have your attention everyone...I would like you all to meet Mr. Kabir Sharma, KKN ke naye boss...Mr. Sharma, yes it is him, the business tycoon, and best business man award winner, is our new boss...
Everyone was so pleasantly surprised...Kabir was introduced to each and every person...But his eyes were searching for someone, Ms. Ananya Kashyap...
Kabir: Khalid, are these all the people working here? Are we done with the intro??
Khalid: No Mr. Sharma, one of our reporters, who is appointed as your assistant, Ms. Ananya Kashyap is following a lead with our camera man Sunny Singh...
Kabir: Oh I see, well, lead me to my cabin...(As Khalid was about to leave) BTW Khalid, can you get someone to send Ms. Kashyap into see me, when she arrives...I would like to get to work ASAP.
Khalid nodded..and Kabir entered his Cabin...
After half an hour or so, at around 1pm, Ananya came back to the office...When she approached her desk, all her stuff was missing from there...
Ananya: mera samaan kahaan gaya?
Khalid: Ananya, remember the new boss??? (ananya nodded)...Well Ananya, he has arrived, and he would like you to go and see him...
Ananya: Ok, but, where is all my stuff?
Khalid: Oh, that has been moved to your new cabin, next to his cabin...so it is easier for him to communicate with you...
Ananya had a weird look on her face, she took her purse, and went towards the boss's cabin. Not knowing who the new boss was...
Ananya went to his cabin, and knocked on the glass door...A voice called her in...She walked towards the desk where a man was sitting on a black leather chair, facing away from her...
Ananya: Good afternoon sir, Khalid sir asked me to come and see you...my name is...(before she could finish)
Kabir: (swiftly turned his chair, to face her) Ms. Ananya Kashyap...
To say Ananya was shocked was an understatement...Her eyes wide open, her mouth formed an "O", and a shaking feeling went down her spine seeing Kabir Sharma right in front of her...She never expected to see him ever again after their last encounter, and her slapping him. But there he was, right in front of her, just few steps away from her...All the events from their last meeting were playing in her head...
Looking at her shocked face...Kabir couldn't help but to smirk...
Kabir stood up from his chair...walking around the desk, smirking and starring at her face...walked upto her and said...
Kabir: So, Ms. Kashyap, I am sure you didn't expect me to be here...winked at her...
(Both were standing just few steps away from each other..) Hearing him, Ananya snapped out of her shocked mode, and took few steps back...
Ananya: app yahaan???...(shooting daggers at him with her eyes)
Kabir: (kabir took two steps forward toward her) Haan Ms. Kashyap mein yahaan...
Ananya: his presence was freaking her out due to their last encounter, she was nervous as hell...she gathered her strength, and said: aap yaahn kya kar rahe hain?
Kabir: Ms. Kashyap, agar aap bhool gayi hain toh mein yaad diladun...yeh aapke boss ka cabin hai...AUR MEIN (leaning on the table with one hand, and bringing his face close to hers), aur main, aapka nayaa boss hoon...
Ananya was shocked to death...
Kabir (leaning in a bit closer, whispered): aur app meri assistant cum... (and winked at her)...
Ananya: cum what sir??? if you think you are going to scare me, and make me work for you... than let me make myself very clear, I refuse to work with you...I quit this job right here and right now...she started to leave but, Kabir was in no mood to let her go just yet, he held her hand from behind...
