"What did you say her name is again?"

"Anvesha. Anvesha Banerjee Ray."

"Ashi!".. his murmur was so slow that it was unheard of in the other side. He hung up without saying goodbye.

"Ashi….. the word was like music to his ears.. and today it sounded poison. He had always thought that Ashi was only for him. Ashi was his. And now Ashi had become Pierre's.

A single tear rolled down his eyes and landed on his cheeks. He couldn't stop himself. All these years he had waited for Ashi was now a failure, a barrier of time and he would give anything in the world to bring those years back. He couldn't, he knew he couldn't. Ashi was gone. He couldn't stop himself. All the tears for Ashi which he had somehow managed to retain in himself were worthless. And today the tears knew no bounds. Before he knew, he was crying like he never cried before, he was sobbing his heart out.. like he has never experienced pain before.. it was the heartrending sob of love. The tears glistened like diamonds on his cheeks only made brighter by the shining rays of the sun…..
