As the soft cold breeze touched her calm sleeping face she
squirmed in her velvety duvet, she was a little bit confused that how the cold
breeze could invoke inside her room bypassing the huge stone walls of palace. She
ignored and tried to sleep but again another quick sweep of wind came and
gently waved her hair locks falling upon her sleeping face. It really disturbed
her a lot. A frown appeared on her beautiful pure face like a flaw. Squeezing
her eyelashes a bit she finally opened her long eyelashes revealing her warm
black round eyeballs. Those eye balls looked just like the rare black pearl.
Beautiful, wise, sharp, as well as innocent and affectionate, as if like the
creator had poured all the emotion of a human in those eyes with perfect amount
and mixed them up to make those catchy beautiful eyes. The owner of those eyes
was none other than but the apple of eye of delhi's sultan Altamash... princess Razia.
Razia's eyes got confused even more when she found the tent's
cover on her above rather than the huge decorative ceiling of palace. There was
quite dark at the surrounding but still a little silvery light was coming from
somewhere and clearing up the darkness a bit. Razia quickly lifted her head
from her pillow and sat on the satin smooth royal bed moving her confused eyes
everywhere around the royal tent. She couldn't understand that how she reached
there. Slowly she started to remember that she had started her journey to
multan that morning with his abbu's blessing. She promised abbu to bring back
her nani jaan, ammijaan and nasir bhaijaan so that the rift which had started
to create between abbu and nasir bhaijaan could be resolved before it went
deeper. Razia sighed closing her eyes. She was feeling a huge anxiety and fear
in her since she left delhi. She knew that shah turkan and ruknuddin would
surely plan something in her absence and would try to manipulate her abbu as
usual. The way that shah turkan talked to her before leaving, her cunning smile
gave her weird indication that she was up to something. Razia knew that lady by
her nerve, she was not happy to leave her abbu at delhi all alone. But there
was no choice for her. She just wanted to bring back nasir bhaijaan and others
as soon as possible. She sensed that the air was getting warmed between her
father and elder brother which she had to stop anyhow. Razia took some deep breath to calm down her anxious mind
and finally when she was back to her normal state she prayed to god to keep her
abbu safe from shah turkan and ruknddin's evil intentions till she returned
back to delhi. She checked around in a quick glance. They were far away from
the Delhi sultanate's coverage and having their night stay at a remote lace in
the edge of a forest area. The chief commandant Makrand had ordered every
soldier to keep alert as the animals of the forest area could attack. He
henceforth requested princess razia to stay inside the tent for the night as it
would be danger for her at outside. The oil lamp which chanda lit up before
going to sleep had been distinguished by the time. Only the moonlight which was
invoking through the tent's entrance was lighting up the darkness a bit. In
that small light razia found Chanda and Fatima, her two consorts sleeping soundly
on their respective beds. Razia lay back on her bed again and closed her eyes
to get some sleep. But the worry about her abbujaan and nasir bhaijaan didn't
allow her to sleep. She kept on tossing her bed and finally when she understood
that sleep wouldn't come back to her eyes again she opened her eyes again with
a big sigh. Again that cold night breeze had started to come inside the tent. Razia
covered herself with the warm duvet properly and woke u from the bed. Without disturbing
Chanda and Fatima, she came and stood near the tent's entrance. As her eyes fell outside she was totally spellbound and
enthralled by the nature's beauty. It seemed like the moonlit night had made
the earth so beautiful. All trees, grassy grounds, night flowers were showering
in moonlight. Like some fairy had waved her magic wound and decorated the whole
nature with silver. Being inside the palace Razia never experienced nature's
beauty like that before. The beautiful nature made her forget about her worry. Her
black pearl like beautiful amusement gleamed with amusement and an innocent
wide angelic smile spread on her face seeing the silver moon in the sky. Just some few tents away from the dark corner of a tent
someone was keeping an eye on the scene. His sharp eyes were stilled on her face
where the silvery moonlight was reflecting through her fair skin and black
eyeballs. When that beautiful smile appeared on Razia's face as if like he forgot
to breath! He felt his heart thudding loud inside his cage which he never ever experienced
in his life. He was just like a vagabond, going with the wind from one country
to another and the journey went on. But from the moment his eyes fell on her it
seemed like his vagabond heart was getting bound by her. He never ever thought
that he would get to see her again. But it seemed like destiny was playing
tricks with him. He ended up in the same troupe which was protecting her royal carriage.
His ether smelling dupatta flew in the wind and lead him to that troupe and as
soon as she get the glimpse of her face inside the cart he just couldn't help
but follow the troupe. Razia adored the beauty of night and remembered the lakeside
place where they stopped in the afternoon for their lunch. Chanda was insisting
them to stay there for the rest of the day. She knew that it would be full moon
that night and the lakeside looked so beautiful in such nights. But Makrand ji
was not ready for that. According to him, in moonlit night, animals might come
to drink water at lakeside so half heartedly they all left the place. But Razia
was having a urge to go again at that lakeside to see the play of moonlights on
the water. She never experienced something like that in her whole life. It was
like a pool which was calling her. Razia was not like other girl of her age who
would be driven by her childish instinct. She took her each and every step with
consciousness and measure. She thought before taking each and every step. But
at that night the pull was so huge that she couldn't control that. She knew
that it might be a huge risk as that lace was inside the dense forest. But at
that moment a huge urge and desperate feeling was creating havoc inside her
mind to take the risk, to be foolish for some moment. Wise Razia understood
that it was her heart's call and she couldn't avoid that. She always believed
that peoples heart lead them to the right oath always. Razia tucked her knife inside
her cloth for safety and looked around the area where the royal tents were placed
on scattered manner. She saw the soldiers at some distant keeping their alert
eyes everywhere, holding their swords and other accessories. She must not be
caught by those soldiers otherwise she would never be able to fulfill her wish
to see the lakeside in moonlit night. Razia smirked and covered herself and her
face properly with the duvet so that no one could recognize her. Keeping her
alert eyes everywhere, she stepped outside of the tent all alone. The lean and tall male fig who was watching over razia from distance
was getting slightly confused seeing her old actions. When she saw Razia leaving
the tent covering herself allover, he just chuckled as his eyes followed her
going out from the surrounding area of royal tents. He took some quick firm
steps on the grass without making a single sound and followed her. He was
curious to see where princess was about to go all of a sudden in that mid of night
and also without telling anyone.

Ria, I had to read both parts carefully to absorb the beauty of your vividly descriptive narrative. The first chapter transports you to the scene so wonderfully that I can imagine it before my eyes. Shehzaadi Razia sounds like a beautiful nymph/pixie wanting to go see the moonlight playing on the water.
Chapter two is even more spellbinding than the first, as you weave this majestic aura around the stillness of the moonlit night and the serenity of the nature she is surrounded in, as well as capturing Altu's emotions so well. The way he is hypnotised by her beauty and innocent smile and how it lures him to approach her. You wrote a lovely line about the depth of his eyes and Razo being transfixed by his ocean eyes. It is all so dreamy and romantic. Please Ria, I hope you get your dose of muse so you may continue this awesomely written SS. It is a crime not to finish it.
Once Upon In A Moonlit Night
Part 3
For just a little moment their eyes clashed with each other razia felt like she witnessed her whole life freezing within those few moments, as if she witnessed her destruction in those eyes. Those eyes just crashed her bravery, her royal pride, her identity like trash and left her in numb state.
Even he was not in stable state by far while holding her forcefully in his powerful hold and staring into those black rare pearl eyeballs. In his long journey throughout the various countries he encountered so many girls. Some of them threw their lustrous glance to provoke him, some girl just shy away. He just used to smirk and move away giving his sallam to everyone. He was well aware about his charm to other girls. But he was not a playboy who would use his charm to attract the girls. Though being a vagabond nd former assain in past life, he had a respect for every girl. And mostly he just didn't bother about girls. He didn't have any desire which could bind his feet.
But those eyes... for the very first time when he witnessed them in darga... Those eyes which trapped the free wind for the very first time! Mirza Altunia got caught into the trap of the maze of those black eyes. He didn't even stop himself to get caught by her eyes. Those eyes didn't threw him provoking glance, they didn't even shy away. They just continued to look into him with question and confusion. there was a fire in those eyes, as well as a warmth of affection. Both of those things were enough to caught him.
They continued to stare into each other eyes as if the world resides into those. Altunia's hand got loosened and slowly slid down leaving razia's wrist. Razia's hand fell along her side as if she didn't have any control over her own hand. With so many thoughts roaming in her shocked numbed mind a recent memory flashed into her brain. That sarphira dupatta thief in darga, the very person who defeated ruknudin in the fight of subedari and vanished from the arena, those same eyes, he was no doubt the same person!
"Sama kahe, parwana pass naa aao jal jaoge
Parwana kahe,jalna fitrat hain apna...
Chahein hoo aag mein.. yaa tere mohabbat mein."
While his deep voice probed those few lines without shifting a slight gaze from her face, the voice made Razia bring back her sense from the frozen state. Her brain started to work at last as she became aware of the surroundings. Her eyes shifted slightly from those stranger green orbs to check out the surrounding area and normalize her senses and vastly beating heart. Honestly, she was never in such state while she felt herself so week and feeble just by a mere glance of some strange eyes. Even though she met him in darga she was not that much affected. Cause her attention was focused on getting free of those stupid flower garlands which trapped them both together.
But the moment was different, the situation, the surrounding, the air, the intensity of his gaze and her feeling each and every thing was different at the moment.
She was feeling hesitant to look back into his eyes again. Because she knew very well that she would again feel those odd yet nerve chilling feelings which she experienced for the first time in her whole life. Razia was known as the fearless careless girl who never afraid of such silly things but for the first time it took her all the courage just to look into some strangers eyes.
Finally she looked back into that deep bottomless green ocean again who was patiently waiting with the same intense gaze piercing her heart. She couldn't afford a deep breath. Altunia understood her situation as she watched her transfixed eyes weekly looking back towards him. Under the cover of his kaftan his lips craved into smirk whose mischievous glint reflected into his eyes shining into the silvery ray of moon. Razia saw that clearly and understood that the stranger understood his affect on her. She bit her lips out of a bit shy feeling mixed with annoyance of getting caught. She quickly dropped her eyelids and shifted her gaze as the annoyed frown creased into her eyebrows yet again. Altunia sighed as their long eye connection was broken finally. He was enjoying and cherishing the moment throughout.
By the time Razia sensed that the stranger was not any of shah turkan or ruknuddin's man and not there to kill her. But still she was not fully satisfied about his intentions. She was far away from the royal tents alone in the mid of forest with a total stranger. She shouldn't be so reckless aand think twice about leaving the tents. She never imagined that she would be stalked by someone. But rather than cursing her fate or reckless step she kept her cool and started to think that what to do and how to get out of that drastic situation.
"Dil poochey naino see, thame apni dharkane.
Jiss soch mein khoya hain tu.. kya nacheez bhi uss kaa hissa hain?!"
Razia's jaw hardened a bit as she understood the meaning hidden behind those poetic lines. With a firm look she snapped back to Altunia's jolly eyes. "Lahta hain janab koo shero shayari kaa bara shaukh hain?!" Her tone was sharp as she threw the question to him. "Shaukh nahin.. fitrat hain shehzadi.. kya karein..kambakhat juban pee lagam nahin raheta.. dil bhi baaz nahin maanta.." his tone was as usual sarcastic with that husky tone even though he sensed the sharp edge in her voice. Razia tried to become furious but she just couldn't. Even in his flirty tone there was honesty and respect which could never offend anyone but made the listener attract towards him more and more. She twitched her lips to control the smile which was about to come out. Crossing her hands near her chest she gauzed him again, "Hmmm..." she buzzed, "Par miyan... itne raat koo ghane jungle mein aap ki yee khubsurat shayari sun kee koi bhi irshad nahin kahega.Bas jangli janwar gurrake aap kii tareef karengey, woo bhi agar unhe aap ki shayari samajh ayein too." Her tone was sarcastic rather than annoyed and angry. Altunia's eyes gleam even more mischief and she leaned a bit more to her closing their distance. "Jis sey tareef sun na tha uss nee too nawaz diya... ab koi nacheez ki tareef kare yaa naa kare.. mirza koo too apna inaam mil gaya.."
Razia forced to stop another smile with so much effort. She was never so affected by some strange person like that ajnabee sarphira. She was not that kind of girls who fell for boys easily but there was something about him, which she couldn't resist but fell more and more effortlessly. As Altunia closed their distance razia could clearly witness the intensity of those eyes mixed with mischief. Only she knew that how she was holding herself firm in front of those eyes whose mere glance was enough to melt anyone. Keeping her jaw hard and the frown intact in her eye brows she threw her confused glance, "Matlab kya hain aap kaa?!" even her voice was firm there was a bit shakiness in the tone which was not unnoticed by him at all. True to say he never enjoyed his affect on any woman like that before. He was testing the rare triumph which he didn't have even after getting victory over so many powerful warriors or expert fighters. "Aap kii yaddast bari kamzor hain mahotarma..." her glance threw dagger to him at his complement but still he didn't stop, "kuch der pahele aap hi nee too humari sayari koo khubsurat' - iss labz see nawaza." Altunia finished with another smirk and Razia almost bit her tongue for her foolishness.
"Woo... woo hum..." razia stammered. "Haan shehzadi kahiye... hum sun rahe hain.." Altunia assured. "Hum aap ki tareef nahin kar rahe the... hum too ... Iss khubsurat nazare ki tareef kar rahe the." Even she herself knew that how foolish her excuse was. But still she had nothing more to say. Altunia sighed and backed off a bit. Razia's eyes moved here and there to avoid him. "Nazare kee sath thori nacheez pe bhi nazre inyat hoo..." he asked casually.
Razia's face hardened a bit as she looked back to Altunia, "Aap kee himmaat dekh kar hum hayran hain janab.. Hum galat nahin hain too aap wohi hain jinhone khwaja jii kee dargah pee humara dupatta chori ki thi... Kyun hum sahi hain naa?!" she asked firmly. "Chaliye shehzadi... nacheez koo aap nee yaad too rakha... iss kaa matlab kahin naa kahin hum aap kee soch kaa hissa ban chuke hain..." his voice was victorious again. "Baat koo ghumane ki koushis mat kijiye.." razia's anger looked more forced as there was the glint of small smile in the corner of her lips which courage altunia even more although listening to her harsh words. "Uss din humne aap koo kaha tha kii humare paheredaar aap koo dusra mauka nahin dengey... fir bhi aap baaz nahin ayein... Yun der raat ghane jungle mein, sultane e hind Altamash ki beti kaa chup kee see picha kar rahe hain... jaantee bhi hain ki iss gushtakhi kaa anjaam kya hoo sakta hain?!" her question seemed like a challenge to his ear. He kept calm like usual to her fury and answered in just small word. "Anjaam too pata hain mahotarma... par anjaam see darna mirza koo nahin atta.." he answered with a yank. "Acha?! Itni himmat hain aap mein to delhi subedari kee jung ki maidan chor kee bhag kyun gaye the uss din?!" her question looked more like complain at the moment as a sudden sadness flickered in her eyes. That sadness stilled him for a bit. He was suddenly confused by the sudden change of her behavior. Razia was trying hard to cover up her shaky age of voice but it was uncontrollable. She didn't know from where that sudden emotion appeared in her heart. She didn't ever realize that she was hurt that he left. Might have the situation aftermath suppressed that inside her, but it was there deep inside which was surfacing finally. She quickly lowered her gaze to cover up her eyelids and stop her overflowing emotions. She was not at ease to cry in front of any random person and show her weakness.
Again a huge wind bypassed them as their silent eyes met again. the whole nature silently waited for the conversation to proceed.
