tfs.
ST messed up RR big time. thetime leading to the realization of love and consummation is the highest rating grabber. but only if you have a tight script.

TFS Aditi. They can always imply consumation without making it graphic. That way, the show is kept real without making the audience feel uncomfortable. They needn't create ridiculous MUs just to keep the couple at arm's length. How many times can you watch aunties plotting and uncles dining?

And I really don't inderstand how pavitra couples are supposed to behave. Couples who are bound in a sacred marrital union will indulge in the physical aspect too. Even most of the Indian gods did.

In RR, the ratings dipped after the consumation because Paro delivered the baby the next day and died the day after. It had nothing to do with the barn date. Someone should ST and colourless that. If they had paced the story well and shown us how the lead couple gradually fall in love and learn to trust each other, the show would have been golden.

Interesting article.

I agree with some points but with regards to RR, I don't actually agree. The trps were never great to begin with. There wasn't a flow or continuation in story telling. Bahut gadbad thi. But I still enjoyed it 😆 it will go down as one of my favourite shows :)

May be it has a point. But in my eyes Parud Story fast running love-hate saga, every character entry n sudden exits have affected the show most. Many tracks were fast there were adrupt patch up. Early love realizations, early setting out differences between Rudra & Paro or Ranawat family, ... there were many.

But there was Parud chemistry that always worked in positive ways. I always loved every characters which introduced to us audience (except Shantanu). Story's early strong bases were unbeatable. This was special serial where there was no usual Saas Bahu fight. Everything was different.God knows what was running in Rangrasiya CV minds. 😡

Loved everyone's responses and agree with all.
I think this article might hold true for other serials but not in case of RR. For me whenever Parud came closer the TRP have increased and illogical plotting eg the Laddu track were never excepted even by the TRP audience. Even family- maala or maala- rudra union tracks were not eye grabbing as CVs didnt know how to tell it properly. In other serials suspense tracks have done well with TRP crowed but here Shantanu track also didn't work.

For me their real story was till the Tejavat track till the Mahashivratri one. Dont understand why they had to hurry with it.
Were worried with their opening TRPs and thought negativity, captive track or terrorist tracks are not liked by trp folks?
I have seen many serials which r now counted in top 10 trp shows which opened with even less trps than RR.
Their makers didn't get disheartened and changed their original story but they got determined to show the same story in a better way.

For me they should have extended tejavat track (which I suppose to be their real story for atleast 6 months ) and showed Paro to herself find out the truth about Tejavat not tejavat telling the whole truth so easily. I am sure slowly and steadily the show would have climbed the ladder of TRP chart.

This ST is a gone case...Consummation has nothing to do with TRPs of RR...it had reached rock bottom by the time consummation took place & that was all thanks to the genius of him & his team who became deaf to our pleas...Why can't he accept that the show was messed up badly in his quest to garner TRPs in a rush...we ranted & raved when we saw the standard slipping but no one listened to us...RR for all its absurdities had an innate sophistication that most shows don't...possibly reason why we bothered to stick around even after Paro's death...
@- Suganthi- you are bang on...one doesn't have to be graphic in showing consummation, just a slight implication is good enough but not showing it even after the couple are married who have been madly in love , is highly illogical & absurd...and this crap about " Pavitra couple " thing is laughable...biggest joke...

ST is trying to justify the quick end of Rangrasiya through 1 tactic or the other 🤢

Ratings dipped after consummation because 2 days after consummation Paro was shown to be pregnant, and had a baby on the third day. What a bunch of nonsense, followed by more nonsense with Paro's death, Myrah's entry, and the games ST played with our emotions with Myrah's and Paro.

Sorry ST not buying your explanations!!!

Rangrasiya: This show was aired on Colors from December 2013 to September 2014. The show revolved around the story of Parvati (Sanaya Irani), a villager woman and a Border Suraksha Dal officer Rudra (Ashish Sharma) and how they fall in love. The show was shot extensively in Jaisalmer and Jodhpur but still managed to fail to impress the viewers. The show though made Ashish Sharma a star, but couldn't do much with the script. The show was promoted extensively, but a weak plot and average acting made it go off-air too soon.
