Gunjan's slow and steady transformation from a sheltered, introverted small town girl to a confident, independent woman was a delight to watch.

Sanaya gave an understated performance and YES, it was and still is very underrated. I think her character evolved the most in the show and it demanded a restrained performance from her which she delivered with ease. I think it's Sanaya's most well written character till date.

Really waiting for some news of Sanaya, it has been far too long ... and we are spoiled since the last few years, gotten used to our daily dose of Sanaya sunshine.

Thanks for opening the thread, Sunara ... let's hope this one is lucky and brings us some news of our girl.

I know, Sanaya was so good as Gunjan. I remember initially I didn't like Gunjan. Perhaps it was my big-city-brashness, but she was way too nice , too sheltered, too passive. But she slowly came out of her shell and how. Esp in season 2, she was kickass.

I feel like to get noticed on Indian TV, you either have to be the fix-it-all bahu or the know-it-all beti or the bubbly girl that comes in like a whirlwind. Quiet people can be just as interesting, and very difficult to portray for an actor. Like Paro, like Gunjan. It seems as if neither the Indian TRP audience, nor the show makers have heard the saying - still waters run deep.

aww I know right!! I watched Welcome all the episodes and capped loads! she is adorable! 🤗

aahhh I should go back to MJHT too! I have been watching IPK and RR in a mixture..and I have not watched MJHT in a while now... so either that or going back to LRL might help I guess...not fully.. but at least a little..hmm..
and indeed it was a perfect underrated performance.. WOW! specially knowing how she is in real.. that reticence.. shy introverted nature she brought to life. just unbelievable! Gunjan was a revelation to me in Dec 2011 as I was used to our bubbly Khushi.. and i was just stunned seeing the difference!

Actually as u said its very hard to portray a introvert, quiet character and not make it boring.., and Sanaya managed that with both Gunjan and Paro..

And even a bubbly character.. well. I think its easier to get attention with them.. but not to make it annoying and instead making it endearing is not everyone's cup of tea.. Khushi made us wanna hug her and pull her cheeks and laugh with her instead of wanting to go in there and give her a good whack!!

Anyway for me actually.. well I was already a Sanaya fan with IPK when I watched..so basically MJHT meant Gunjan to me.. so i guess I would never know if I would have initially found Gunjan boring or not had I watched it before knowing and loving her as Khushi.. cz I have a habit of gravitating towards bubbly roles when I watch.. Sanaya has been that only exception which made me fall for shy, reticent, introvert characters..

Hmmm i watched 1st week of that show for sanaya.
i did not notice it before lol.
Well sanaya was such polite and sane one there unless most of them are nauntanki and rude.
