I found the link to this amazing article in other form. I agree with it 1000%, especially with the first point. The issues mentioned in the next two or three points can avoided by merely following the suggestion in the first point.

Very good article. Well researched and written.

Unfortunately Indian shows are far far away from reality and don't see it changing in the near future when long running crappy shows are on the top of the TRP charts.

Will start watching these Pakistani shows and I'm sure they will be good

Seriously I've recently have watched fawad khans pakistani drama and it's fantastic. I've watched mainly pakistani dramas and never been disappointed. Highly recommend

While I agree to somethings when put in point form - the thing is one of the most appreciated Paki shows put me to sleep while Indian shows don't do that to me..

So I am glad to have this option for myself where I get to enjoy a show I love every night, an actor I love for long periods of a time, beautiful locations, colorful vibrant festivals, beautiful Hindu rituals that are a part of every episode... these might be glorified and larger than life, but with all its faults I do enjoy it n keep coming back for more cz this is escapism for me.. n that is why this foreign girl who has nothing to do with India is stuck to Indian shows since she was a child..

Acting might be true, cz there r a few actors or to be precise actresses I can watch on TV like Sanaya, Nia, Krystle n few others... but just cz most saas bahu actresses r bad doesn't mean they should put down the rest too..

Anyway.. each to his or her own.. While in theory this article seems to be saying rational stuff.. I personally would hate if the Indian serials I watch turned to be like this.. it would be drab and boring for me...

And the point of reincarnation - as crazy as it is the way they use it in shows, isn't it related to religion? Its something that we believe in. And so is black magic in rural areas even to this date.. So I don't appreciate what was written about that.

No offense meant - I am neither a Pakistani nor an Indian.. just like the author has written her/his views mocking Indian TV shows, I have defended them as I love them.. :)

t4s... it was a pretty good read though my thoughts don't exactly match..
