I think Dilsher is feeling quite guilty and embarrassed about what happened 15 years ago. It was his ego and pain that made him feed poison to Rudra's mind in his childhood. He knows very well that he is the reason why Mala left and why Rudra was separated from his mother. After coming back to Chandangarh he has realized that it was the wrong way to bring up your child. The slap is somewhere and somehow a sign of guiltiness. He wants to or at least tries to make up for what happened 15 years ago by taking side of mala. But he is not able to see what Rudra is going through because of this behavior.

As far as Mala is concerned, i guess she is quiet because she doesn't want to hurt Rudra by telling him that his father used to abuse her and she left because of him.
But still its not the right way to handle the situation by remaining silent or by slapping your grown-up child who has suffered all his life without any fault.

yes i have seen that Dilsher feels guilty, he is been guilty evenb b4 Mala returned, and that guilt was because he could not give his son a fatherly Rudra deserved and thus the guilt. Now when he saw Mala , he wants to repair the damage without including his son and his feelings ? Is that the way how a father should behave especially when he knows that Rudra has no faults here and its him who owes an explanation to him ?
Dilsher was not so much immune to Rudra's pain atleast, he used to see his suffering and later he melted down, but now he behaves as if Rudra does not exist and still goes and slaps Rudra . what has they made him into 🤢

coming back to Mala, yes i understand she might not wnat to create a rift between father and son, then she can atleast tell Dilsher that how he is being biased and being carefree about Rudra's feelings. Doesn't Mala see that what Dilsher is doing ? And why is she always ending up in Paro's lap with tears of self pity ? I mean what the hell ? If she wants a reconcilation then she can do so many things instead of shedding tears and self pitying.

Very nice post and I totally agree with the points you've made...high time Rudra gets an explanation...Mala and Dilsher have both handled this very badly and Rudra is the only one who's going to get more hurt in the process.

Anyways let's see how much longer this goes on...since the new negative lead is supposedly poised to enter😆

Anu i do wnat to leave the forum, especially the way this track is being handled and then the news about a new lead guy. Overall i have this dismal feeling, i do not want another male lead for the show when Ashish is doing a fabulous job and my sole reason to watch the show is obviously his character. i want to say something Anu, please don't leave the forum atleast not before the things go down the drain, there are very few people like us who genuinely care for the show's story, progression and yes Rudra's character.

I would not make the post, but surprisingly the episode made me do it, i liked the episode, be it his way of letting Paro know the extent of his love , ohh i loved the dialogue " Abb main tere bass ka bhi nahi ", or be his mini tandav against his parents. I found Rudra very logical, every word he told had so much weightage that Dilsher could not do anything but slap him. I also liked how Rudra stopped Mohini after she tried to taunt him eventhough Mohini was right .

But what took the cake was definitely his urge, his plea to Paro, i could sense a very tortured soul begging for peace, asking for love, Ashish does that so well, the range of emotions he portrays onscreen with that much ease makes me all 👏👏

And given the vague hints they dropped, it seems something happened on a Diwali night...either Dilsher had an accident and his leg got affected or he hit Mala and that is why she had the mark on her cheek.

So they both clearly loved their son but other things happened b/w them that they weren't able to handle and in their mismanagement of everything, Rudra became the sole victim...and even now they are unable to handle what they are both responsible for.

yes that i think most of us understood that eventhough they struggled with their marriage they did bond over for Rudra and was kind of a small and happy family.
But then again as Mala ran away because she could not face abuse, she found her destination in Tejawat and Dilsher drowned himself into alcohol and made Rudra the person whom he could pan and pelish upon all his angst, anger and ego.
That was a matter of 15 years back, but what amuses me is that even after 15 years all they think about is themsleves, how they want to move on, how they want to regret, how they want to reunite, how they want to shed tears of self pity in front of Paro. Rudra is the person whom they dont even bother about thinking , like why ?😕

I felt really bad for Rudra yesterday. He had a right to question his mother's intentions though he could have been more polite. Mala did switch husbands easily from what we have seen so far. And this is what everyone should be thinking, who is she currently loyal to. The slap for the unsaid words which showed his control inspite of his anger was uncalled for. Wasn't this what Paro wanted from him to scream, shout and demand for answers. So why the anger when he does that. he has been facing these very taunts at school and home before leaving town.

The situation is not so simple that it can be ignored. Evryone except Mohini and Rudra are acting as if Mala just went to the market and is now back and her son is upset that she didn't pick up a new toy for him. So they are just going to eat some kheer and hope the son let's go of his anger.
It's easy to say that Rudra should listen to his mother and clarify things. But neither parent wants to talk about it. One hides in his bitterness and the other in grief. They are plain weak. They should have the courage to explain whatever happened years ago and not blame him for being confused and frustrated. They have not made any efforts to make things better. They are just sitting and waiting for Paro to sort things out.
I have a bad feeling they are going to make it look like Dilsher was abusive and so Mala had to leave. That's justifiable, Dilsher hasn't been affectionate to anyone other than Paro. But nothing, absolutely nothing justifies leaving your child in a hostile environment. Mala should have tried to remove him from the haveli with or without Tejawat's help. I really hope Rudra asks her this and not join the Mala worship.

yes exactly, Dilsher was abusive and Mala left, so that makes both of them faulty here. Its not that Mala fought for all her life or struggled, she did lead a happy life with Tejawat, and thats what Rudra mentioned yesterday, then why are these souls behaving as if Tejawat also does not exist ?
Are Rudra and Mohini the only sane people in that haveli ? I think so.
As parents Mala and Dilsher had failed long ago, and they are just repeating the same mistake, only difference is now Rudra is big enough to refute against them and warn them.
I wnat Rudra to ask Mala that would she ever return to claim for her son if Tejawat was a wise man ?

Aww abhi ke liye toh I'm here only, don't worry😆...I was just looking for your post yesterday to write in cuz I too liked the epi quite a bit...I felt it flowed well and wasn't as irritating as some epis from last week...btw you also weren't here for the famous Friday episode? 😆...I was busy over the weekend and got to watch it on Sunday only...Really well done scenes...Sharmaji toh took it to another level😆...and then yesterday's scene...that "ab main tere bas ka bhi nahin" line was amazing...would love to see a follow up on that but Mala issues await first😆

Yeah plenty of good Rudra scenes yesterday from the first one to the one with Mohini and then his questioning Mala...ofcourse I felt bad about the slap too but by this point Dilsher has become quite a let down as a character so not much left to say.

Yes, Rudra's desperate plea to Paro to just agree to go away with him was also really heartwrenching...really felt bad for him...Ashish got to show a lot of range yesterday again and he did superbly as always.

That's exactly what i said it won't solve the matter but make it worse. I really felt very bad when he slapped Rudy Boy 😭
He is trying but currently not able to justify both. On one side he has Rudra who didn't have a proper childhood because oh him and other side he has Mala who he has wronged as well. The main thing is Rudra needs time to digest the chaos that is going on in his life.

Maybe they will show in today's episode Mala making Dilsher realize his wrong behavior (the slap). Paro is the only person currently who listens to her and to whom she can open and talk about her feelings. Lets see how things develop further.

Yes, that is the sad part here...Mala-Dilsher are both very weak characters who basically FAILED their son...they were unable to put their son above their own issues...this does not mean that Mala should have suffered through an abusive marriage...but no mother can abandon her child the way she did either...even if they are showing that she was forced to...a mother fights for her child, come what may...and that is Mala's biggest failure here...she is STILL unable to fight for her child.

Dilsher was also a failure...his bitterness led him to be abusive to Mala it seems and then he ruined his child by poisoning his mind in such a horrible manner...Mala-Dilsher could not rise above their own problems to realize that they are ruining a young impressionable child in the mix...a child who was anyways WILLFUL and headstrong from day one...a child who needed to be handled very carefully was just ABANDONED at a crucial juncture in his life...and now they have a grown up scarred version of him to deal with and they are just as clueless about him as they were all those years back.

Rudra's pain isn't really comprehended by anyone...not the ppl who brought him into this world nor the woman who claims he is her world...aise mein it's a miracle he hasn't gone fully insane yet.

Another thing that really touched me yesterday was the bit when Rudra says he was like a tree with rotting roots before Paro came into his life and all but FORCED him to start living again...how TOUGH it has been for him to emerge from that rotting state that he had become so used to stewing in...hope and love can be very dangerous things for ppl who've given up on them in general...Rudra was going through his life without love and hope but now that Paro has forced both of these upon him and COMPELLED him to open up, she has to go the whole distance...cuz Rudra doesn't deal in half-measures...now that he has opened himself up to love, it's all or nothing as far as he's concerned...he needs Paro more desperately than she realizes...Rudra can never be the self-less kind in love...his love is very raw and desperate in nature...well this is what Paro has signed up for...reality check time...lol

I made the post late because yesterday i had no time, somehow in between work i made it today.
After last week, i did not expect a good start for this week, but as usual CVs love to surprise us. After the first rant of him to Mala, i was keenly wiating for another one, and yesterday's one was more subtle, and more of like " I am fedup, just get out ". Noticeable pasrt were his dialogues, the dialogue writer deserves a clap too.

Friday's famouse episode, i know, i have watched it. I will say one thing, from the whole episode, the shot which i liked the most was when Paro holds his face and kisses his forhead, his expressions there. How fabulous was it ? It did feel like that Rudra was longing for love, and loved the way Ashish has done it.
And yes i respect both Sanaya and Ashish for sharing that good of a chemistry, finally romance was served and fans loved it.
Mujhe Rudradev ka range of emotions dekhna tha, and i also got it last night, so no complains.

Writers have butchered Dilsher even more than they could do for Paro or laila or even Tejawat. He was one of the strongest characters and actors and now he comes off as sleezy and superficial..

" abb main tere bass ka bhi nahi "... i rewinded the epi again and again for this damn dialogue eventhough he was not present in the scene. I dont know, but such short, and soulful lines, the way he expresses his desires, it takes Rudra to another level.

Anu, do u think they will go the othello way with the negative lead ?
