Sorry Paro Bai Sa...but I don't agree with you. The lady whom you were talking to, the one you were giving credit for mothering an orphan, is not a good mother. No, she never was and still isn't a good mother. She is the biggest factor in destroying her son's life. Yes, love is blind, and in that aspect so is yours for your foster mother, but I cannot close my eyes to the bitter reality that her son is a living dead cause of what she did, you may choose to. You might put her pain, her grief that she is suffering right now first, but some of us can't put a child's angst for years conveniently on a back burner. And no...any respect or honor is not due when you leave a family high and dry and decide to elope for whatever the reason.
And why can't she feel bad for what she has done?? Why shouldn't Mala repent, regret?? Why are you positively encouraging a lady to feel good about herself and what she did for years?? Do you really think what Mala did was right?? Or she can do no wrong just cause she is the lady who brought you up?? Calling her a good mother to her son is insulting motherhood in a way. Respect, like trust, has to be earned. Don't see how it can be a right and should be gifted to you on a silver platter. Tomorrow the cvs might justify her departure, (after all its a soap, and anything can be justified), but for me...the lady you are crusading for, standing up for, fighting for her rights and honor and respect...trying to paint her as a tragic heroine instead of a figure that caused havoc in multiple lives...its just not sounding right. Fighting for causes comes naturally to you, but here the lady is a lost cause.
