Do you know when the serial had started, Rudra's family was introduced, I had never imagined that they will use Maithli's character and develop it so nicely. I thought she will be another furniture like other serials and occassionally used in script. Rudra goes to her for anything he needs in regards to Paro since he knows she is a well wisher of both of them and their relation. Whether it was when he needed her to change Paro's wet clothese, wanted food, buy bangles or even today when he needed mangasutra. He saw how Paro and she tried to investigate ladoo poison issue without collecting proof. Above all how can we forget she was the one who told Rudra about shivji's wow and today Rudra could stop Paro. Yesterday's episode, out of respect he even touched her feet. Thats is his way of thanking her...beautiful moment...even todays teasing scene was like normal shy devar elder bhabhi scene...cute.
But Maithli's character has evolved and is major catalyst in this love story. It was Paro who being Paro, emotional & valuing each relation (a women's basic trait of thinking with heart) made her sister-jeeja. Even with no relation with Rudra and family, she stood up for her infront of Chachiji on the topic of adoption and confronted when her own husband and other family members didnot say anything. To the extent she was going to be slapped which Rudradev took on himself (afterall no one has right to be mean to Paro). Since then Maithli has been her elder sister at every step. She shares beautiful releation with Paro but of late she has developed similar equation with Rudra too.
Secondly, now she has courage to reply back to her sasuma...good change.
