Rudra and mythili's relationship began with indifference from his side and curiosity from her side. To Rudra she is just one more member of the family -from hell-. She meant nothing to him. Whereas, mythili was curious about this young man who dared to threaten her mother in law. -again its something no one has ever done before. Slowly thse indifference and curiosity changed to mutual respect. Respect for the guy who 'loved' his 'fiancee' enough to protect and defend her. ( even her husband has never stood up for her like rudra did for paro) Respect for the kind hearted woman who bcm his paro's jeeja. Now its something beyond respect. I see it this way- he is the child she wants to smother with love and care while she is the woman who in her own ways fill in the void left by mala--. rudra has drawn a circle around him n only selected few are allowed to enter -- mythili secured a place there the moment she broke the promise she made to Paro and informed him abt it. Mythili has now a protecter who will protect her, and maybe ( at times) fight her battles for her.

Also, it very interesting to see the way they juxtapose the dwindling of the matriarch's power with the emergence of mythili. The matriarch is now a wounded lioness and something tells me that she is about to strike soon. And when that happens mythili is the one who's going to be affected the most. I hope im wrong but it'll be interesting bcz mythili now has Rudra and Paro with her.
