Love this post. I adore Maitili and Rudra scenes. The interaction is just so cute and I love how Rudra even though he's uncomfortable opening up to her word for word of what he wants, Maitili gets the jist making him feel absolutely comfortable to go to her each time to help him inregards his relation to Paro.
Thanks for this fab post sis.

:O

p.s!!! You still haven't un-resed for Angel's Navrasa post and haven't commented on mine either! :'( No fair! grrr.lol

Amazing post.
Even I was shocked when he gave respect to Maithili. For Rudra to do that was very sweet of him and yes he has that respect for Maithili. Loving the bond that is growing between them.

Amazing view 👏Completely agree
I think the Shiv Parvati angle should play out here too

with Shivs bairagya everyone had turned barren after Shiv Parvati love happened the earth gets back it's fertility

I think that is possible with Maithilli too

Navin, thank you for this, after reading this was missing NB.
At first I was not sure of RR's pace, now I got accustomed to it, other shows drag the same thing for months...and still the story does not move, I am really liking the pace in RR...another thing I notice is Most of the conversations happen in the background, like I told kakusa already or I mentioned this to jija or bablu told me abt it, and even Laila too mentioned that paro put chillie powder into thakursa's eyes...in the other shows just this talk goes for months together, I really like about it...

In yesterday's episode, I was like why r they showing Maithili so much, and in the end I understood, when Rudra put her on a pedestal to take the blessings...then it all made sense, you do not need to be related by blood. It's the thought that matters. She like is shield to PARUD.

Now it will be Rudra supporting her in her war.

I remember the episode when Maithili spoke to the family about adoption and Rudra had stopped paro from talking to the famile, paro had questioned him how he can be aloof from his own family, now he understood what it meant...

It was so cute in the end she says yes sir...😆

I do see the character development now and all the puzzle pieces fit...

I agree with most of the things you said but there are few things I would like to point out:
Firstly Samrat does not seem to be impotent in the physical sense of the word as his married life seems to be fine. There is a lot of passion between husband and wife. He may be infertile but not impotent. Though I agree that psychological aspect of the word is correct as he is not man enough to stand up for his wife and what is right and is definitely a weakling.
Secondly, though I think that Maithali's courage had something to do with the strength she draws from Rudra and PAro's relationship, still I don't think that Rudra touched her feet because she stood up for Samrat as he was not around when Maithali defended Samrat. I think that Rudra respects her because over the time he had realized that Maithali is a genuine person, somewhat like Paro. After experiencing so much betrayal he had become a non believer but PAro turned him into a believer and he recognised Maithali's inherent goodness and started respecting her but touching her feet was a different thing altogether.
He touched her feet because it was she who was the reason he won the battle of love as he had put it. She told him abt PAro's mannat. She was instrumental in bringing the only happiness he had ever known back in his life. Unknowingly Maithali took the place of his absent mother and without realising Rudra has already kept her on that pedestal. That is why he keeps going to her to ask abt things like bangles and mangalsutra. If his mother had not left him he would have asked his mother abt such things. So I think that he touched her feet because he considers her to be a mother figure though unknowingly as he hates the word mother.

Maithili has a lot of strength ... She surprises me more than paro... Paro by underestimating Laila lost her sharpness.. Maithili is good..becoming better and better..thanks nM

Excellent NM. I have a question for you... why is it that you see Mythili standing by Samrat. And your character sketch of her is perfect. She is rising above all her weaknesses to stand by her man. Like you said all are worthy of love and protection. Mythili is doing it for her samrat though he may not be worth it. That is the power of love. And someday hopefully Samrat with make himself worthy of it...
Yet I notice you have no such expectation from Mala. Should she not stand by Tejawat? Is he not worthy of the same love? Has not Tejawat lavished his love on Mala for 15 years?
I'd really really like to hear your answer on this? Also just a precursor to what I think you might say... That tejawat is evil... But, no one is all evil or all good. Does not Tejawat have the right to this redemption?

Wow! that was a long read but very apt. Loved the way you laid out Maithli's character development.

Rudra has realized the importance of Maithli in bringing Paro closer to him. He owes her big time for the mannat disclosure. I personally was quite surprised with Rudra touching her feet. I had expected a 'sukriya' at some point. The level of respect given just shows how much Rudra has come around. To what extend he has softened. Slowly but sure Maithli has won over Rudra.

I wouldn't put Maithli as a mother figure for Rudra but more like a go to family person with whom you are quite comfortable to share some personal matters.

As for Samrat, I would go easy on him. When he sees the change in his wife, he will pick up the courage to speak up. Hope he learns a thing or two from Rudra.

I also hope Rudra goes easy on Samrat as well, for Maithli's sake.

One big happy family, to team up and oust Mohini!
