Laila never mattered, what he felt for her was all that mattered..

I think today it was a fabulous episode and Paro did me proud to watch her!! She was EXACTLY as we wished her to be! Prayed her to be!!
Dignified, rational, hurting and human and sweet, just and sensible.. a beautiful wonderful human being..

She was heartbroken as any wife would be when she got to know his past, she cried through the night.. had a nightmare.. she was scared..clutching her mangalsutra.. the red thread...that bound her to him..

and finally when the morning dawned and he wasn't beside her in the room she ran in search of him..

and seeing him her pace quickened.. to come close to him.. maybe to talk..

when she saw Laila pawing him.. she is human enough to feel the stab.. and she fled from there...

She is upset.. isn't ready to deal with it yet.. and she is listless..her face small.. sad.. the glow that usually lights her up from within is missing.. lifeless as she goes about her work..

When he forces in her thoughts she is upset.. and gets even more agitated when Maitili starts singing his praises at this very time she is dealing with something so huge..

She looks so very young and lost and bewildered and hurt in this specific scene...

And then.. childish too.. after all Paro is very young.. she doesn't answer n goes away with that tea for babusa..

She deals with Laila detachedly.. but firmly putting her in her place by calling her a guest, tells her to get well.. no personal queries, smothering.. nothing... cz indeed she was a non-entity to Paro

She is justifiably shaken and upset when she learns that Laila knew..

And when Rudra takes her away she is angry.. the pent up pain and the shock given by Laila prompts her to be contrary. and spoiling for a fight for a moment.. she asks why it matters to talk away from Laila?

But within seconds the sensible, gentle and hurt Paro raises her head.. her beautiful eyes grave.. she asks about what matters so much to her..
Laila doesn't matter to her, but it matters that he has an issue with having her around.. It matters because it makes her wonder if he feels something for Laila.

When he vehemently denies it she asks then why it matters? And he, being who he is thinks that she is upset because Laila is there and in order to take away her pain he is kicking Laila out, cz he thinks that will make his Paro to smile again.. And as he tells her that she - Paro matters, Paro is human enough to lean in to the warmth of the hand that cupped her face.. taking in the touch of her husband she craves.. the gentleness that soothes her aching heart.. fills her with relief..

And then she opens her heart and lays before him what troubles her.. what stabs her every second since he told her what he did..
"What truly troubles me is that I am only bound to you by this red thread. I worry that these symbols of a bride/wife are simply symbols. Am I truly your wife? Do I have any rights over you?
And tells that, 'when I don't have any rights over my own husband, how can I have the right to say yes or no to anyone staying in this place?'

And she walks out with eyes filled with those same big fat tears he was so upset about..

And she goes to Dilsher and she smiles, not because it was funny.. but because she feels the love.. that old man adores her.. cherishes her and loves her.. and for him she gives that tiny smile..

And she tells the truth to her big sister.. and when she panics and asks her to get rid of Laila.. Sweet innocent Paro, wise beyond her young years.. sensible, compassionate.. none judgemental..
tells that 'I don't have any right to complain about someone's past that has been spent. Whatever that happened b/w her and major saab, whatever it was happened before he got married to me. It was when he hadn't even met me, so what can I say jija? So what fact should I show I am have a problem about, that Laila is beautiful?, that she loves major saab? or that b/w them... ' she breaks off swallowing her tears.
She proved what I believed of her.. that she would never hold what he had had with Laila against him.. because it was all before her.. she was a child of 13 when it started. So how was he to be held fault for what he did before she ever came in to his life?
She is just, she is decent, she is human and honest with herself, she is not insecure, she knows what she wants and what truly matters in life, she knows about being fair, she lives by it..

And she continues, 'No jija, by doing it I would be putting myself down, there is a risk to Laila's life outside of this house, Takursa's people can do anything to her. So how can I due to my scare about my relationship ask her to go? Its wrong right jija?'
Proud, dignified Paro!! She is righteous.. never saintly..,she is not doing any sacrifices, any stupidities, she is facing the truth head on.

Maitili tells, what wrong? does that mean u will allow her to remain here and let your own relationship deteriorate?

And Paro asks sadly, 'what relationship?' Maitili is shocked when she continues, 'just a few minutes back I asked this question from major saab. what relationship? when Laila becomes better she will not have a risk to her life she will go from here. But what will it change jija? For anything to change b/w me and major saab its vital for me to know what feelings he has for me. Whether he would give me my rights as a wife, today, tomorrow, ever?'

Because at the end of it all, what mattered was what he felt for her and what they had between them.. Not what he ever had with Laila, because Laila didn't matter for Paro..
Laila can sit upside down, do as many antics as she likes, she might hurt Paro sometimes, but none of them will affect her decision, because Paro is bigger than that... a much much better human being than that..

For her all that mattered was what he felt for her and what he wished to have with her.. what her own relationship was..
What their own present and future together held in store for them...

What a beautiful post & Caps Sunara. There are some posts makers on the main forum who should seriously read your take on Paro... will not however, go any further than that. But this was seriously beautiful.
God bless

Awesome post di, just what I felt after watching today's epi!! But wen I came to the forum, no one was on the same page. All were talking about loopholes in the track but its sad that no one wanted to discuss the beauty of the epi. In my opinion, this was one episode where we needed to look past everything and just appreciate the scene, the dialogues and character development.

Thanks for making this post! 😊

Everything was so beautiful and just the reactions as what would have been expected out of a normal person...
Such a well-written description of the episode dear... And the pictures you post, they give the entire post, the episode, the characters some kind of ethereal feel!!!!

But, that jacket the Major was flaunting left me wondering!!!! Why is he made to wear such obnoxious shades of colors??? Shiny, violet????
