Vicky,
Lovely post...and what a beautiful quote.
I will copy paste what I posted on Sush's thread, to explain why I believe its not complicated but instead Paro's questions & Laila's WD40 spray paves the way for Paro to leave Rudra.
Another lovely episode and I must say wasn't the least confused with Paro's questioning or wanting some answers for herself or from Rudra.
Glad that all of my favourite characters had value screen time today. Kakisa MIA and Laila was as good as not being around.
In my previous post, I did say that Laila's presence and this revelation has only cemented Rudra's 8th vachan. This makes it easier for Paro to keep up to her promise.
What is the problem is that most of us are reacting episode wise and seeing no consistency in Paro's character. But I see it this way. Is Paro on the path to justifying leaving him?
I will go back to the laddoo track? What really made Paro offer up the love of her life to Bholenath in the first place. It's plain and simple. Because that is what RUDRA WANTS. HE wanted her out of his life. He participated in the SN pooja only so that she walks out of his life. So Paro's promise to is give up something that she wanted (her own desires), her love for him.
Now back to Laila track...who is simply a catalyst to the PaRud relationship. The Laila matchstick/WD40 that works to spark a stagnated/standstill relationship between P & R.
The CVs did right in bringing in Laila because there was nothing much happening apart from laddoos between R & P.
Paro asked these questions, because on the basis of these answers will she justify to his family and him that her sacrificial tyaag was a selfless act. And does not measure up to what his mother did to him. It shouldn't because he has no feelings for her nor any bandhan. .
Note, she already has a dejected look and has accepted that she won't get any answers ever. If you notice she spoke of Laila but not of her leaving Rudra to Maithli. Why did she hide this bit from M?
It's like this, he never married me in the true sense. He does not want this marriage with me. So I am only forcing myself upon him. Now that it's clear, I can walk away without any guilt feelings.
Don't know maybe I am completely off track and it all sounds pretty illogical, but it's the typical filmy tyaag way of thinking if you look at it.
hugs
