There was amazing intensity, cruelty, innocence, betrayal, heart break, hurt and a never before seen darkness in an Indian soap (atleast from what I have seen)
Having said that this episode brought to the forefront a stark contrast in acting, how a good actress can connect with the audience and enhance the scene, and a bad actress can reduce the impact of a scene and completely destroy it. I watch shows from the female perspective, the female lead and the supporting female cast are very important for me to stick to a show.
Sanaya Irani is a big revelation for me.
Today Paro brought tears to my eyes. This is first time I am crying for a character on screen.
It was so heart shattering for me to see this girls faith, innocence and purity suffered a big set back today. As her husband laid in front of her, his dark past and demons in his life, her pure soul was broken. Paro's difficulty in comprehending that her husband 8 year fling was need based and not love based, her emotional breakdown and her silence thereafter were the high points today. Sanaya really made me feel Paro's pain so much and that's what a good actress does. The amazing thing about her acting was that she had minimal dialogues and yet made such a huge impact...her eyes speak a lot.
The actress playing Laila was a big let down. I am surprised how the makers cast her for such an important role. All other actors are perfect. But this one leaves much to be desired.
She is trying hard to be evil, but is not coming through at all.
Hope the makers reduce her role or find a better actress to fill her role.
The precap left me a little confused and shaken
Paro's tears pained me and Rudra's action confused me, but let's wait for Monday.
I am also impressed with the male lead and actresses playing kakisa, Mythili and the actor playing Rudra's dad.
Kudos to The makers of this show for showing a very bold concept.
Lastly, Sanaya Irani has a new fan in my husband.
He watched the full episode with me today after I told him about the revelation. Since he was already appreciative of her acting after seeing last weeks mirchi attack scene he took my word and watched.
And he just can't stop raving about her acting.
Boy, the difference in acting between the two actresses was like day and night.
Want to thank all for responding to my earlier post.
I love visiting here occasionally, reading others thoughts and leaving my thoughts.
