In Anticipation of Paro's reaction (Note on p.6)

Alright, so tomorrow Rudra is going to make the grand revelation to Paro and the clock is ticking down to it. In all probability irrespective of what her reaction is Paro will be torn to shreds here tomorrow. So this makes me wonder-

What is the acceptable reaction for such a situation?

How is a wife supposed to react when her husband reveals about his past sexual life?

1. Should she just accept it as a part of his past- the Pre Paro era?

As an avid reader of regency romances, I know that would have been acceptable in that age. What happened was his past and as long as he loves and cherishes Paro, why bother about this past?

But against this, does past just remain in the past? Here the past is already here to haunt the present.

2. Should she be outraged and shocked and leave Rudra?

Paro is a village bred and rather innocent girl,so she will find it shocking. Should she then proceed to distance herself from Rudra for this reason. The feminist may ask - will Rudra accept Paro if she had such a chequered past?

3. Should she be glad he has chosen to confide in her?

4. Considering she does decide to accept and move on, can she ever really TRUST him completely?

Before we get down to ripping Paro apart tomorrow, for a minute just think which response do you think is acceptable?

P.S.- I know each person's reaction will depend on their own background and beliefs, so I have tried to keep my prejudices away in this post while asking the question. There is no right answer to this and anything one says is ones' own opinion.

I did not want to bias the main post with my opinion or prejudices, so saying that separately here.
Again this is entirely my personal view and it need not be the right one or acceptable one for another person.

She has to be shocked, at least in the beginning.. The whole idea of a loveless physical relationship would be beyond her comprehension. The girl who confides her thoughts to a blue butterfly will find it shocking. But after the initial shock is it wrong if she accepts him? I dont think so.. Considering the situation in which they came together and got married, does she have a right to judge his past? I dont think so.. He has always been the way he is, although her love is bringing about changes in him.

But i dont think she can have blind faith in such a person. As a normal human being with normal emotions (and not a saint) she wont be able to help herself from wondering what was happening each time she sees them in a room alone or behind a pillar.. Can true love overcome that mistrust?

None of my business, but I personally would want her to ask Rudra to get himself tested for HIV and other STDs before ever thinking of consummashuns.😊 And a detailed sexual history if there are any more Lailas in his past..

The first reaction obviously will be shock.
Fir 8 years he has been going to her and then callously throwing Laila away.i think Paro will go back to calling Rudra Jallad...
Then will come self pity.for loving him unconditionally, yet knowing fully well he cannot love back, but now knows that he can give any woman physical pleasure, while remaining unattached.
Then will come doubt,is there anything going on between Rudra and Laila right under her nose?
Is Rudra involved in any kin dog sadish???

After that the story can go two ways,
Either Paro will evolve herself sexually,so as to keep Rudra with her,and kick Laila out,

Or

She will leave him with Laila,as Paro will feel Laila ko Pelham haq hai

Let's see which way the wind will blow...

I think she is entitled to be hurt and Saddened and angered for the fact that he didn't tell her this when she was insisting on Laila to stay in their house, for him to just say she worked for him. She should be angry! But she has seen him in his worst, she knows how horrible his past life was, and has been with him with journey and she sees the change. I feel like she should be hurt, she could even be angry at him but not blame him and leave him. Paro is really understanding person. She wanted him when he was mean and cruel to her. So she could have all those emotional real feelings but she is allowed to look past his not so good past. May be after sometime but she could forgive him. That's what I think.

Very nice explanation. I think paro is very positive thinking girl. She always listen her heart n at the same time
she believe her major sab... Surely his
past will hurt her so much no doubt in tat. rudra open talk abt his past
May be tis make paro to trust her major sab completly.
Bcoz he accept his mistake infront of her either exceptedly r nt. Will c
how paro will react.. ( omg ... wat kind of twist will going to happen )

My favorite reaction to this super post...& the kostins it raises...

I think she is gonna show all the FOUR reactions in the following order...

1. She is gonna be SHOCKED & OUTRAGED ( as seen in the promo)

2. She will DOUBT him tooo...coz she heard Laila shout " leave my hand Rudra " 😡

3. Probably after much thought and being the forgiving SOUL that she is...she might look at it from a different perspective ( her favorite thing to do ) ...might find the happiness that he opened up to her...remember the other night tooo she wanted him to share stuff with her...

4. And LASTLY...she will conclude that this was his PAST and thats how it shud be so she might gather up her courage & thruw Laila out of the haveli...
