Rudra's character remained natural when he got angry at Paro, especially from a very patriotic and proud army officer, who was told that his wife begged for his job back and he is obviously scared at how important Paro is becoming to him. Yet, he can't stand to see her hurt so he comes back to the pooja. Paro knows that what he says is totally contradicted by his actions (him coming back for the pooja). The characters remain true to themselves. Remember, this track is a catalyst to the further progression of Rudra and Paro's relationship.

Also this is a daily show, it takes time to build the tracks and every episode isn't going to be 100% amazing. This track is to make Rudra and Paro's bond stronger, and Mohini is integral, whether we like it or not. They live in that haveli, so how can Thakur or Laila do evil things that will bring them closer? Hence, Mohini is there (as much as I hate it). I'm confident that Thakur and Laila will be back, but in the future when the story calls for it.

For once, I have faith in the CVs (unlike other shows I've watched) because since the time RR began to air, they've, as a whole, consistently surprised us with twists that have stayed true to the characters and premise of the show.
