Hi there guys!
I had been thinking about such a scene quite a lot, lately. I wish to see it in the show as well, but I know that's totally on the CVs.
So this one starts off from where Parud's little honeymoon ends when they are on their way back to the haveli.
There are 2 parts to this, and the second one is almost completed. Please like and comment if you want me to continue and definitely stop me if you don't. Like always I wouldn't mind!😛😛
OS: INTUITIONPart 1
"For how long now major sahib ?" paro asked her husband fidgeting nervously with the loose end of her saree, as she looked out of the window following the patterns of the moving images.
He glanced at her somewhat agitated. She had been asking the very same question for the past 1 hour.
"We are almost there" he replied nonchalantly. Turning towards his newly wedded wife , he noted for the first time that she looked slightly uncomfortable.
The red saree that she had adorned for tonight's event glorified her delicate form. The elaborate zari work managed to sparkle even in the almost sinister darkness of the night making it difficult for him to drive without staring. He remembered how Geetanjali maam had complimented her, regarding her beauty and him, regarding his choice for a wife.
" bahut khoobsurat lag rahi ho paro" she had commented making him flinch at the fated word.
Khoobsurat , he had muttered under him breath, twisting this word as if it were some curse, clawing its way into his life to completely destroy it in the process.
Yet, when the other officers had eyed their his small rendezvous with the couple celebrating their anniversary, he could not help but feel his chest swell up in pride at being accompanied by his wife, one who was undoubtedly beautiful. And this is how he spent the afternoon, his mind debating the conflicting emotions and his heart reeling under Paro's presence beside him. She had been slightly frightened, owing to the fact that she had never been to Jaipur, let alone such elaborate parties, and stuck to his side the whole night. And amazingly he had not been annoyed, just because she had looked happy, her smile radiating her overwhelming joy.
The smile was no more on her face now. She was frowning in fact, constantly looking out of the window, as if eyeing something outside.
What is troubling her now? He thought. bewcoof ladki! Why was she this eager to go back to the haveli? Had she not liked his company at the ball? She had been very compliant back at Jaipur, obeying every order that he had barked at her without questions. And that dance, he could not stop his wayward thoughts heading straight in the wrong direction at the moment. She had surrendered herself, dancing to his rhythm rather than the song, matching his every step. And unknowingly he had found himself drawn towards her innocence, her beauty, her ...khoobsurati. No, he shouted at himself inwardly. He would not go back there. Definitely not now.
" koi pareshaani hai kya? Baar baar bahar kyun dekh rahi hai?" (Is there a problem? Why are you looking outside again and again? )
She looked at him, slightly nervous, and after a brief moment of eye contact, sighed.
"I have got a terrible feeling major sahib. I think something wrong is going to happen. Can we please rush back home fast?" she asked in a small voice making him snort.
"paro, you have only one problem in your life and that is undoubtedly me. Anything else would seem trivial before your husband, kyun shrimati?" he replied smirking.
Parvati still didn't seem convinced enough and turned to look out of the jeep's tinted windows once again. Some distant part of his heart wanted him to reassure and tell her that nothing would harm her till the time her protector is there, but thought against it. He concentrated on the driving instead.
Paro opened her mouth once again to voice her fears but decided against it. Major Sahib would not listen to her, she thought. But something was definitely wrong. She had a gut feeling, a nervous stirring inside her stomach, which had happened only one before. At her wedding with Varun. She had ignored it then, only to land up in trouble. But the aftermath had not been that bad, she thought suddenly smiling.
This is nothing, she reassured herself. Nothing would happen to her, major saab would never allow that. What if something happens to him?, she thought suddenly making her sit up slightly. No, its nothing paro, absolutely nothing. We would be back home very soon.
And indeed they were back on the road she recognized very well. Now they would turn left and she would go running to her jija and narrate the incidents of the dazzling party she had just attended. Paro smiled satisfied and counted seconds before everything would be normal and her fears would be proven wrong.
"Crap" Rudra muttered suddenly before taking a sharp right turn, hence going in an exact opposite direction.
Paro jerked forward at the sharp turn and looked worriedly at him, only to find him cursing profusely under its breath.
" hum galat raaste par hain major saab. We have left the haveli behind" she said.
" mujhe pata hai paro( I know that) . We are not going to the haveli"he said in an alarming voice.
Paro was confused.
"but why? I want to go back" she tried to explain.
"We can't go there. We are ... being followed. It would be stupid to lead them to our house." He replied in a menacing tone, his knuckles white due to his tense grip on the steering wheel as he took another sharp turn.
Immediately, paro looked back and saw the jeep behind, apparently loaded with kurta and pajama clad people carrying arm length guns along. She gulped. They were from Beerpur. Thakur sa'smen . They were coming after them. And then it suddenly struck her, So it was true. She had been right. There was something wrong.
" woh...woh thakur sa..."
" I know. They are tejawat's men , currently after us. But don't worry. I will not let anything to happen to you" he said looking into her eyes meaningfully and just like that she knew he was not lying. He would never lie to her.
He took out the phone from in pockets and punched up a few numbers before bringing it to his ears.
After a few seconds, he was talking urgently.
" Aman, we are near the haveli, currently on roohanpur road . tejawat's men are behind us. I need back up now!...yes Aman parvati is with me. Contact the general if you want...yes am trying to take them away from the Haveli." He shut the phone suddenly and tossed it on the back seat.
" BSD will be here in a few minutes. In the meantime we have to distract them. I'll take you back home safely Paro"
Swallowing her own terror, she saw that behind the calm voice of her husband, there lurked a terrible fear as well. He feared for her life, she suddenly realised. She tried to turn her head once more but his hands were on her shoulder the next second.
"Don't look back Paro. Keep your eyes in front, on the road. And stop worrying . Nothing will happen. I won't let anything happen to you"
" major saab..."
"No nothing will happen.BSD is on its way" he kept on speaking paying no heed to her calls.
"Major saab..."
"Those bas***ds will pay. This will be the last decisions of their lives and the worst one as well."
"MAJOR SAAB" paro shouted this time, loudly in order to make him listen and stop this mindless banter.
" kya?"he said turning to look into her eyes finally ,while keeping a firm hand on the steering wheel.
"mujhe kuchh nahi hoga!aap chinta mat kijiye.(nothing will happen to me. Don't worry.)
Those words spoken in an extremely soft voice, barely a whisper, almost drowned by the harsh roar of the engine had the desired effect on Rudra. His eyes softened, his hand muscles visible relaxed, the fingers loosening its hold on the steering wheel. He faced the road again and let out the breath he didn't know he was holding.
She understood his feelings perfectly well. Almost deliberately she had spread out his fears in front of his and promised to wipe them out as well. A man of self made destiny that Rudra Pratap Ranawat was, the fact that she understood him this well, maybe better than himself surprised him.
" we'll be safe" he said after a long time.
" i know. I'll be safe with YOU"
Rudra nodded in return and stomped on the accelerator.
" hold on" he shouted in a hoarse voice
The jeep took another sharp right turn before speeding of, in the direction of the narrow streets. It skirted around the boxed houses, ones that were similar to her maima sa's house as well, turning every few minutes
Major saab is trying to loose the trail , she thought. She glanced back, just enough to see that the men were falling behind, but they were still on the 80 miles an hour speed.
The silence looming inside the small space of the jeep was torturous. Paro turned towards her husband, hoping he would say something, just anything to break the silence but he didn't utter a word. He still looked furious, the heat of his rising tempers emanating from his masculine frame , making her even more nervous. Paro debated whether a word or two to reduce the tension would be okay with major saab, as the butterflies continued to flutter restlessly inside her belly and her stubborn heart just won't stop hammering inside her chest.
But before she could utter a single word, a loud shattering noise pierced through the space. Just when the realisation that the side view mirror had been broken struck, his sturdy arm was already around the back of her nape bending her forward.
"Bend down paro. They have started firing" he growled
