Thanks for the PM, Sush ... glad you posted ...
Ok, WHY was the Major so clueless when Paro was talking? Didn't she say the truth, the exact truth and nothing but the truth .. and a truth that she has been saying all along? Or was it surprise that after he has been such an insensitive boor towards her, the girl still puts him and his job first, and saves him ... This time if he had lost it, it would have been all his own fault ... nothing to do with her. Either that 'yes' to wanting the marriage was an unconscious truth ... or it was a very half-hearted lie ... belatedly realising that he needs to do his share of damage control too.
Paro ... I started getting her and loving her around the time of the hate marriage ... and I absolutely LOVED her today.
Paro had no big dreams ... all she wanted was a home of her own, and a husband who would take care of her. No big romantic dreams about a prince on a white horse, or love ... in the situation she comes from, a man who doesn't beat his wife every time he gets drunk, and who earns enough to keep the house going, is probably all she hopes for ... sad but true for many women in her position.
She got that, she also got a loving family ... she has gauged Rudra far more accurately than he has gauged her, and she knows that whatever he says, and however bad his temper, he cares for her in his own peculiar way, and he is not a bad man. So she is content with what she has got ... a man she can look up to and respect ... I still think she hasn't realised the depth of her own love yet, or explored all its varied hues. All she knows is that he matters a lot to her.
And of course this time it was all about his job ...a job that was a jeopardy because of her ... or so he said, and she believed. So she did all that she could to save it ... with no help from the man himself! And she succeeded.
I loved Damyantiji today too ... she showed that she was indeed a woman of experience ... I loved what she told Rudra ... control your anger, because it hurts people around you, and words once spoken cannot be taken back.
He needed to hear that his temper affects other people ... he cannot go through life erupting like a volcano, and having no consideration at all for the feelings of other people.
Applause to the dialogue writers who wrote Paro's and Damyanti's dialogues today ... they were both excellent . I was glad that Dmayanti gave a rap on the knuckles to Mohini too ... let her know that her antics had not gone unnoticed.
And Aman was adorable today!!!
