confused about something!

Hi everyone,

just started watching this few weeks ago and love rudra and paro. They are so cute. Can someone fill me and what happened in the beginning. Did paro get married to someone else before? Why were Rudra and paro going to get married before? Why did it get called off??

Paro initially was married to a man from across the border - he was secretly bad and Rudra raided Paro's bharaat and killed her husband (her husband was about to kill her). Paro and Rudra were going to get married because Rudra was using marriage as a way to pressure and intimidate Paro into signing the papers that would prove his raiding the bharaat was for legitimate reasons (if she signed the papers, no marriage would take place. If she didn't, he would marry her - which obviously was something she did not want). The marriage didn't happen because Thakur sa came to Paro on the marriage day and took her away - which, after that, is when she finds out that Thakur sa WAS actually guilty of smuggling guns and that Rudra was telling the truth all along.

Thanks so much!! That really helps. One last question, how could rudra force paro to marry him, couldn't she say no to the marriage and no to signing the papers? Why didn't she just leave?

I believe he said that if she tried to run away/escape he would kill her mami sa and all the villagers from her village...and she believed him. She refused to sign the papers so she had no choice but to go through with the marriage - though even for that on the day of the marriage she said she'd even jump into the mandap fire to escape from marrying Rudra, so I guess she never really planned on actually marrying Rudra...she just had to play along because she had no other choice for the time being.😊
