At the risk of being labelled "pseudo feminist", I would like to point out another angle to this "developing" love story. Laila has, according to some, made Rudra aware that he is developing feelings for Paro. Rudra will negate it to himself and to Laila for sure. But if he still has those "supt and gupt" feelings unknown to himself, does his sub-conscious allow him to treat Paro (with all the "new-found" respect shown in Friday's episode) as a "prey" to be used to lure Tejawat out of his comfort zone, and either kidnap or kill her? He knows that Tejawat will be at the Mahashivratri mela, and that the tables could turn in any way, so why does he risk Paro's life in the bargain? (For all the officer and gentleman that he is). We know that he's desperate to save his job, but then what sort of plan is this based on Tejawat's coming to the mela for some deal? Has he assessed ALL the consequences of his plan? Doesn't seem so. If Paro does get "kidnapped" by Thakur (for all we know she might go willingly, she still thinks of him as a father figure) and then faces the truth, should she forgive Rudra for risking her life or go back to the "Jallad" stage? For all we know, the CVs will have selective amnesia and stress only on those parts where she remembers him being nice to her. š
Hi Ishta,
You have brought up some very nice points. I am positive about the highlighted part. The question put forth by Laila is going to boomerang with him. Laila did make him aware of this thing if not anybody else. I wonder how everything will unfold at the mela. We just have to wait and see.
