Nice episode with all of them gearing up for Mahashivrathri with their own agendas. To be honest i liked the Wednesday's episode contrary to everyone here on the forum, i could see the story and PaRud coming back on track, actually i was expecting that kind of behaviour from Rudra as time was running out for him to save his job and his dead men's honour.
Coming to yesterday's episode, i loved the PaRud scene and the way he tries to reason with her about her being on the wrong side was well done. What i liked most was how comfortably he lets his guards down in front of her as though they belong with each other.
Coming to the rest of the episode everyone is gearing up with their own plans for the showdown on Mahashivrathri mela day.
At this point i don't want Paro to lose, i don't want Rudra to lose his job and the most i don't want is PaRud marriage now. I'm hoping Thakurain's revelation to Rudra will be the next track and that can keep PaRud together even without the marriage.

I think Wednesday's episode packed a solid punch ... the way it polarised the forum 😆 I felt Rudra and Paro were very much in character ... but Rudra was in his original character of jallad, whereas he has come a long way since then. But the sight of the officers in his house brought it home to him, that time was running out ... his intimidation of Paro was a last ditch attempt to get her to sign ... and it backfired spectacularly on him. He saw the lengths she could go to, to protect her loved ones ... while he would stoop to hurting an innocent girl to save his soldiers, she would stoop to hurting herself to save her loved ones ... and would probably go the whole way and even kill herself if he persisted. Hence he had to backtrack on that. And honestly, I'm glad he did ... he is Rudra, the protector ... he cannot see Paro hurt. I didn't like the dark sexual intimidation ... it was too uncomfortable.

Yesterday's episode ... I said this above too ... contrary to what they claim, they both have started understanding each other rather well ... and I love the way they communicate. Both let down their guard with each other ... Rudra acknowledges her strength and her loyalty to her loved ones, misplaced though it is. He has no problem showing her his vulnerability, if it is needed to convince her how wrong she is ...

And Paro has seen through his tough facade to the abandoned, sad child beneath ... so she cannot see him as Jallad any more. Her anger with him over the mehndi forgotten, her trust in him restored, as she sees that he cannot see her hurt. The mehndi in front of the crowd was to rub in his victory over her challenge ... but his victory was tempered by his defeat ... as she told him she would hurt herself again ... and again ... she was bowed and helpless, but not defeated. His rubbing the balm in was not to prove a point to her, like the mehndi was ... it was out of genuine concern ... hence she let him.

Both are strong willed, but standing on opposite sides ... but both have started seeing the good in each other.

I'm completely with you on the last bit ... I don't want Paro to lose ... I don't want her to sign unless she sees the truth about the thakur ...
I don't want Rudra to lose his job

And I definitely don't want PaRud marriage yet. But I think marriage will happen ... and then separation.

good question Diya. This is the big mystery to me of what we've seen so far. Why are the writers pushing this really weak line? It is orthogonal to any logic. And Rudra (should) know it. So why the marriage?

Guess its a soap. But still, one would expect them to find another way, no?

@bold: very interesting and very plausible...I do think a separation is on its way
and this will be the best way, with their minds changed (almost) and all those flashbacks...

@ pink: agree

Fantastic post Diya and again an awesome yet very emotional episode..

The kind that lets out a huge sigh!

The PaRud scenes once again were just brilliantly enacted by both Sanz and AS. Nothing OTT..

Though somewhere felt was Rudra trying emotional blackmail? A final resort kind of...to somehow convince her not to do it...

Loved the bit where he admires her qualities...

So the CVs are giving us feelers that someone is gonna get hurt. Rudra, Mala, Paro and one more added to the list Dilsher. Who will it be.

All in all a great episode...

Thanks, diana 🤗 today was the calm after the storm ... 😳

Love the PaRud talks ... they draw closer and closer with each heart to heart talk 😛

Rudra is confused ... in his heart of hearts, he knows Paro is innocent, and she is only guilty of loyalty to the wrong side ... his attempt to force her hand backfired spectacularly ... while she lost the mehndi battle, she still didn't sign despite all his intimidation tactics. Instead she went to an extent he never dreamed she would go to ... so he's not going to try that again. Good thing too ... hopefully that is the end of the sexual intimidation attempts. They really are misplaced in this day and age ... especially in the light of current events ... the Nirbhaya convicts appeal was turned down today ... great news! 👏

But back to the show ... Rudra did see her loyalty ... the only way she will sign is not through any force, but only if she is actually convinced about the truth of what she signs. So this was another attempt to convince her ... to tell her that her confidence is misplaced. Unfortunately he STILL doesn't have any proof ... all he can do is try to tell her that her faith is misplaced. And when she says a child can't be wrong, it brings back his childhood betrayal ... which pretty much rules his life. So it wasn't emotional blackmail as such ... it was more like ... you think you're right because a child's faith is always right? Well, it isn't, and I'm the living example of that!

And Rudra now has no problem opening up to her ... he has no problem showing her his hurt, his vulnerability ... she always soothes it, calms it ... helps to heal it. Paro, the nurturer.
While Rudra is always the protector ... when he moved from that role to jallad, she repulsed him ... Today he was back to protector ... he came to soothe her burns because she was hurt ... not to prove a point or win a battle ... so she let him.

What an apt title, Diya. Loved reading your posts. Your thread has some excellent writers. ⭐️

Nothing much to add. It would be interesting to see what happens when the dust finally settles after the big blow-up. They are heading for a 'pseudo' wedding with all the rituals in place so that Paro has a reason to stay back with him. The dynamics of the relationship then should be a treat to watch.

Thanks, bohemian ... I love the writers here too. We can discuss the show without getting personal or mocking anyone's point of view. It's okay to have different opinions, that doesn't mean other opinions are wrong ... they are just different.

The cvs have built the suspense well ... we're still not sure whether the wedding is happening or not ... if it does happen, there will be a Rudra Paro separation after that, almost sure. But on the other hand, they need to keep them together ... really can't predict which way it will go 😛
