Rudra does not believe that Paro will marry him at any cost. I can buy that - considering his self esteem (abandonment) issues and Paro's awareness of Rudra's jallad side (Varun / baraath killer).

But his statement that he will marry her even if she does not confess to the truth - to punish her- I just don't get that.

His willingness to tie himself up with an aide to a terrorist for the rest of his life. Something is not adding up for me here. Where is his love for country? Is this self punishment for his perceived failure? If she has not confessed in spite of the marriage threat and he truly believes she is not innocent - then it must follow that she is a hardened criminal. Why would he want to tie himself up with such a woman?

If he was considering pulling out of the marriage at the last minute - that I can align with.

I cannot wrap my head around his willingness to get married to a girl he believes to be aiding a terrorist - to punish her?

Either he is falling for Paro - and his sub-conscious wants to tie her to him by fair or foul means or there is some other reason that is not yet revealed. Major sa's current thinking is not working for me.

He is definitely homing in on her.

Even if she signs those papers,he will not leave her.it is called destiny.

He felt her in his soul,refusing to acknowledge it.

Bit once he acknowledges it,everything will fall in place..

As far as Gawa terrorist situation us concerned,if he threw in the towel,his fragile ego will be shot to pieces.

Right now they are at stalemate.

Nah,, its cz she not signing the papers means his reason for living will be over - he will no longer have a career

SO he is ending her life too by tying her to the jallad and destroying her beliefs (widowed girl marrying the killer of hubby) her whole value system

He doesn't believe she is a hardened criminal.. not anymore.. he just thinks she is protecting her own people out of loyalty. not cz she herself is hardened as such. people, even the most weakest of all go to extraordinary lengths to protect their own - so he is not exactly believing he is marrying a terrorist as such..

anyway as i said after he has lost the job he considers its the end of his life - he doesn't care what happens. so he chooses to punish her too.

He has fallen for her... hook line and sinker!!

Subconsciously , he has realised that she is innocent and all of the things that he is doing now are a desperate attempt to keep her tied to him despite that knowledge ( the job is just a cover!).

Paro has turned out quite the opposite of every beautiful woman he knows -- character wise and I think Major sa is quite enjoying it!!!

He wants to finish off her life dignity and values along with his own.
A price she will have to pay for shielding the terrorists.
I agreeing to marry her, he told her that she will rot in one corner of his room (remember he said like a raddhi- waste paper).

He believes that she is shielding Thakur and her signature can help him prove the validity of his mission.

If that does happen then she is free to go and restart her life too but if not then in his opinion she deserves to suffer as much as he would suffer!

So he will marry her because that's not something she wants!

I would call it over confidence. He assumes she will definitely come out with the truth (we know she does not know anything about the arms smuggling) at the nth moment. He is underestimating his opponent. Usually those in the military are trained to play these psychological games with the opponent to break them down. Little does he know that he has met his match in every way. If he is adamant she is not far behind. I am sure he is in for a surprise. I won't be surprised if he backs out Of the marriage. If he is lucky, taakur may do the honours for him 😆
