I guess I can see why some people would think that. Not much really happens, in terms of action. But personally for myself, I love how we're getting introduced to each character and how each character is fleshing out.
Take Paro's example. She was shown as an optimistic girl who kept happy even through the tragedy of her parents dying. She gets married, still good and then her husband dies and she basically gets tortured. But despite all that, she remains strong. I think there was a show before on Zee tv 'Badalte Rishton ki Dastaan' that strived to show a woman who does not appear very strong but emotionally is very strong. Unfortunately, that show failed in showing that. But I think RR is completely succeeding in that area. Paro is shown as so resilient, strong, and admirable. In the face of such hopeless she continues to survive and does not succumb to acting inhumanely. She may look weak, but she has substance. And I love how its being shown. Each episode shows character development and I love it.
Personally, I think many characters in this show are interesting. Dilsher (such a contrast between what we see now [nice guy] and what we hear of his wife leaving him [his fault?] and rudra saying he bred evilness in rudra, etc). Danveer (his apparent cowardice in front of his wife and love for his brother yet he stills talks to the bhabhi who broke his brother's heart). Mohini (doesn't appear to talk to her sister [yet her husband does] and lives to torment others, but not sure why). And of course Rudra.
Idk, I actually really like this show. I will admit that it isn't anything really different (especially not anymore since the whole family came into play) but I'm hoping it picks up again and learns to balance character development with action.
