We all have been busy applauding Paro, or criticizing her, depending on our interpretation. Agreed that the episode had almost no Paro Rudra interaction, but there was one instant that stayed with me.

When the taunt machine starts spewing venom against Maithili, every single Ranawat family member turned to stone. Every individual was a mute spectator. No one had the inclination or the gumption to stop the flow of poison. And in an instant, before we could acknowledge what happened, Rudra caught her arm. Held her in order to prevent her from jumping in the fray.
Rudra knew that Paro would jump to Maithili's defense. He was expecting her to rush to her aid, stand by her side and was also aware of the nasty consequences such impulsive behavior would invite. He wanted to prevent her and tried his best too, just that all was futile in front of our strong and passionate lady.
So, he knew, he expected and predicted her behavior, her reaction. Rudra knew instinctively, and having spent some time with the docile damsel and having tasted defeat at her tiny yet strong hands, he knew what was coming. Paro rising to the occasion, defending Maithili, her support for her cause, nothing surprised Rudra!! He expected her spirited argument. He was well prepared for the fact that she would not take this lying down. The man sure knows his woman, her strength of character and respects the same at some unconscious level. He is so attuned to her wavelength, he understands her actions and reactions and is quick witted enough to intervene.
Similarly when Paro was trying to say something in yesterday's episode, Rudra had his back to her, yet he knew. Another instance of a strong connect!!
Rudra's intrinsic understanding of Paro is amazing. Usually men do not show this kind of sensitivity, in reel or real, but love the way the cvs this time round have made the male lead more receptive. (at least I have not encountered such men in real life...sigh..where are they?😉)They are not that close yet, there is certainly no intimacy involved here, yet this intuitive connection had me stumped. Rudra knows Paro...may be more than herself...he really knows her!!

Very well said..The man sure knows his woman very well. Even while watching the episode i was feeling the same connection between them.. Rudra have no dialouge today .. But his body language, his expressions, his eyes emotes everything with perfection.. Thats a calibre of a great actor.. He was well prepared to get the slap on himself.. Loved this intensity in each episode.. Everytime they(RR team) took this to another level.. No wonder RR is a intense love story..😊
And you Eve once again beautiful analysis on characters thought process👏

Yeah! Totally agree with you. I noticed and loved the way Rudra said " Bol kya kahna chahti hai" yesterday and stopping her by holding her hand tight today and failing stop her took the slap himself. Just loved it.

Hello Eveline,
Very nice post😊
I think it was more of his military reflexes that made him grasp her wrist before she could jump in the fray, rather than any deep emotional insight...that said, he is constantly focused on her and alert to even the slightest change in her, be it situational, mental or emotional.

True...very well said. He is deeply in tune with her...one could say obsessed -- in a broader sense of the term -- a combination of a single-minded professional focus of a captor for his prey...he wants to figure her out, so that he can get her to see his point of view about the tahkur and be his trump card in a battle that is larger than them both, and a battle that he cares deeply, passionatey about.

The other aspect is a keen intuiitive resonance with someone who is making space in his pscyche unbidden but very very surely...one inner eye is always on her. heightened awareness at many levels.

If he's so much in tune with her, I'm sure he knows in his heart of hearts (as he blurted out to aman the other day) that she's innocent...

Interesting...mobius strip like phenomena ... one current is tied to, and reinforces the other!
