Why compare what Indian girls on the street wear with what Paro a simple village girl wears on the show!

Many people say they can't watch with their families.. How can you challenge that without knowing their sensibilities? Calling people hypocrites fur their opinion on a fiction shw is too much really!!
Why is this such a big issue that so many posts talk about Sanaya and how she looks.. The issue is how Paro looks.. I don't see one single post giving any reasons for why she has to wear the dupatta that way. They all talk about how gorgeous Sanaya looks in the clothes which none doubted! The story is about Paro and not Sanaya so posts should be seen in that context!

I'm not sure what you're trying to say exactly...
I'll repeat myself...if you can't watch this show with your family because of the clothes the girl is wearing, you probably can't watch any TV shows or movies these days.
And the promos of this show didn't show her covered up like a nun so why even tune in to watch it if you expected it to embarrass you?

I honestly feel that because it is a HUGE exaggeration to say one can't watch the show with their family because of the clothes she is wearing. I've seen similar sentiments in the past from a sepcific group of people. And living in the stone ages is just an expression...obviously I don't mean it literally lol.

Thank you for understanding di. I agree with almost everything in your post except for what you said about the member and about modern India. I don't know anything about her but I don't see why she would be jealous or insecure of Paro.
Not being able to watch the show with her family because of Paro's clothes is an exaggeration for us.. She just said how she feels.
Like when I say ' I can't watch romantic scenes on TV with my family ' can be an exaggeration for some...😛
I'll leave now... I feel like I am moral policing😛
Stone age wale part ke liye muafi.😆

Awesome post Pri 😉 Love the title 😆
You know what I am confused about? Whether people have a problem with Sanaya portraying Paro so beautifully with fully covered clothes or not OR just because they really care about women being dressed with their stomachs/backs getting revealed!? Let me elaborate!

First of all Sanaya's clothes are NOT revealing! Even if she herself says it in interviews! I don't find anything revealing in them! Rather, Sanaya carries off her dresses beautifully in the show, whether its her red lehenga, the blue shirt or the latest choli she's wearing in segments and all! Why can't people JUST admit they have a goddamned problem with the actress namely SANAYA IRANI! It just pisses me off to see the amount of hate she gets, just coz she's popular, just coz she's got one of the epic leading roles and that too on colors with a well renowned PH! People are NOT able to digest the fact that she is doing SO WELL for herself! They will always be jealous and they will ALWAYS find a reason to bash her! Such people can never learn to love, but only hate throughout their whole life!

Just now if it was some other mediocre actress wearing the same clothes, she would be called sexy, hot and what not!! Just because it's Sanaya wearing these clothes, so lets go bash her! I hate this attitude of some people, why can't they just stick to whatever they love or watch, I don't understand how people get so much time to spend on an actress they hate with a passion!

There, I said it! #rantfinished 😆

Bold- copying pasting a part of my post from this very thread giving my reasons.

This is a fictional show, in a fictional set up where the creatives and makers have conceptualized their heroine, including her look in a certain way. This is what they have in mind, they want Paro, the character, to look desirable and beautiful, which is what Sanaya is looking. Whether it is authentic to Rajasthan or not was definitely not the criteria, which is clear. Infact the costumes and look of all characters are as made up as the story, characters and other aspects of the show. We have a Major with studs, 5 O'clock shadow and tight uniform to make him look hot, then we can have a heroine to look a mix of innocent yet sensuous to make the jodi fetching. After all they are weaving a fantasy love story.

OMG! Yes, lets cover her up. It is a respectable show watched by respectable people. Why is the female lead exposing so much? She should stop dressing up like a hussy. Lets mummify her and then put her in a box. 😆

I am unable to watch the show because of such brazenness. 🥺

Please someone write to them and tell them how such brazenness is unacceptable in Indian culture. God, wearing such revealing clothes! This is shocking! Where's the Women's Rights Group? Inform them too. We must maintain our respectability. Don't let the Indian culture be tarnished with such western exposure. Oh this is an Indian costume, you say? Pardon me, but this is still against our ingrained values. Shame! Utter shame! What has the world come to? The female lead who is a widow is dressing is such revealing brazen clothes. And there is no grief on her face! Shocking, I tell you!

Someone please write to the PH and let them know. This is totally unacceptable to see a widow dressed in such brazen way and act so brazenly. Heck she keeps falling into the arms of another man! No, no! We can't let this happen.

I don't really mind Paro's attire as she looks great in them. The dressing style doesn't really represent a person, it's the way they conduct themselves which really matters.
