Maybe Paro should be covered up like a nun

We are not living in the stone ages. But some of the critics seem to be when it's convenient. To say you can't watch RR with your family because of the outfits Paro is wearing, LMFAO! I don't even know where to start. That seems like a huge exaggeration to hide some sort of agenda/insecurity/jealousy.
Girls on the streets of modern India, and I just visited this past summer so I know, wear far more revealing outfits. Do you close your eyes and get embarrassed walking down the street with your family too? We are talking about television where everything is far more modernized and glamorized than real life. And what's wrong with looking sexy? Women have the right to show off their beauty without being criticized. Sanaya has the stunning looks and body to pull if off, so she should flaunt it. There is nothing offensive about it.

Besides, these same critics say they can't relate or connect or understand Paro's character...but they have no problem jumping in to play unwanted mummy to her. Paro (and Sanaya) is a grown woman so she doesn't need your fake concerns, thank you very much. This PH isn't an amateur one, they don't give a hoot about fangirl complaints. They won't back off and will continue to convey Paro exactly the way she was written. And she IS a very beautifully written and portrayed character.
The current plot has her posing as Rudra's fiance in front of his family. They don't know she is a widow so don't complain that she "doesn't look like one". Her situation is not normal. She has been captured with nowhere to go, she's not back in the comfort of her own home. She is thinking of how to survive each day so clothes are the least of her concerns.
But I guess some will never be satified and continue to nitpick. They want this fictional entertainment show to be as realistic as a documentary but if it were, they would say it is too boring. When Paro was crying a lot after her husband died, they said it was over the top. Now they think she is not crying enough. And then the never-ending complaining about why she is not dressed like other Rajasthani girls. I don't know. Why did a millionaire businessman's wife wear cheap outfits that the housemaid wouldn't give a second look to? The point is that you can't find any show in the history of Indian TV that doesn't have its share of flaws.

Clothes is my least problem to be honest. I don't give a hook or cook of how woman or man dresses for me just watch and enjoy the show/movie because at the end of the day it's all fictions.

The thing I have problem watching with my family is intimate scenes that I can't denied I do fell uncomfortable and rather switch to the laptop.

And I don't want Paro to be dressing like other cast I don't care what anyone else said I don't like those clothes.

Partially agree😳
First of all- Covering up or revealing has nothing to do with being 'modern' or 'living in the stone ages' . (People living in the stone ages were actually more exposed😛)
And I am sorry Priyanka Di but this post actually disappointed me. Whoever that member just posted what she felt. Why do you feel she has hidden 'agendas' etc?

Rest of the post is👏 I personally have no problems with Paro's costume. I remember someone posted pictures of Rajasthani women - They wear short blouses and show their tummies so..

As I said in another similar post the audience has all types of people. If you like something good but you can't villify those who dont!
Why compare what Indian girls on the street wear with what Paro a simple village girl wears on the show!

Many people say they can't watch with their families.. How can you challenge that without knowing their sensibilities? Calling people hypocrites fur their opinion on a fiction shw is too much really!!
Why is this such a big issue that so many posts talk about Sanaya and how she looks.. The issue is how Paro looks.. I don't see one single post giving any reasons for why she has to wear the dupatta that way. They all talk about how gorgeous Sanaya looks in the clothes which none doubted! The story is about Paro and not Sanaya so posts should be seen in that context!

Seriously! I m tired of reading all these posts about Paro's costumes! It's embarrassing to watch the show with your family? Like really? I live in India and watch the show with my parents!
When she cried, that was OTT for some, now if she smiles people have a problem with that too?
In short, no matter what she does, people are going to keep complaining!

Well said, and I'm completely with you on the bold point...I don't like watching intimate scenes with my family either. However...it's a huge exaggeration to say you can't watch this show with your family because of the CLOTHES Paro is wearing. Esepcially when it is not even that bad. She is not sporting a bikini or swimsuit. Your family may be old-fashioned but if mildly revealing outfits like the ones Paro wears are offensive, you probably shouldn't be watching ANY television. And don't dare watch any Bollywood movies. Even the the most clean family entertainers will have girls wearing far more revealing outfits than what Paro is wearing.

No problem Nelo...and I didn't just say an agenda, I also said it might be insecurity or jealousy. I honestly feel that because it is a HUGE exaggeration to say one can't watch the show with their family because of the clothes she is wearing. I've seen similar sentiments in the past from a sepcific group of people. And living in the stone ages is just an expression...obviously I don't mean it literally lol.

"The point is that you can't find any show in the history of Indian TV that doesn't have its share of flaws."

Pri, you hit the nail on the head with the above statement. Not seen or heard of any Hindi TV show in the recent past which is based on any kind of authenticity or realism. Even the historical shows do not have either the costumes or story based on facts!! The same goes for mythological and shows based on classical books, where the creatives have taken full liberty to change everything as per TRP convenience.

This is a fictional show, in a fictional set up where the creatives and makers have conceptualized their heroine, including her look in a certain way. This is what they have in mind, they want Paro, the character, to look desirable and beautiful, which is what Sanaya is looking. Whether it is authentic to Rajasthan or not was definitely not the criteria, which is clear. Infact the costumes and look of all characters are as made up as the story, characters and other aspects of the show. We have a Major with studs, 5 O'clock shadow and tight uniform to make him look hot, then we can have a heroine to look a mix of innocent yet sensuous to make the jodi fetching. After all they are weaving a fantasy love story.

Then, finally we all have remotes and other choices for 9:30 time slot, nobody would be more aware of this than the producers and channel.
