It's attraction not love that's the first step towards falling in love. He doesn't love her yet but he's attached to her.

Nice question, Jaz. It's early days yet and difficult to know how much of what he's feeling is because of guilt and how much is because he's attracted to her (against his will).

The guilt plays a significant part in his feeling, I suspect. He's witnessed first hand the price that Paro has had to pay, and for a change is seeing on a daily basis the result of his actions on Paro. He's an honourable man, not a bully, and he can't be mean to her beyond a point now - that accounts for some of his softening.

Then there's suggestion - from his dad, from Laila, and from Kakisa & Co that Paro could mean more to him.

Finally, there's attraction. He saved her from goons before all this mess. He was drawn to her even then, and ever since his exposure to her has only increased. He saved her life from Varunsa. Caught her reflecting his pain and anguish in the one-way mirror. Calmed her in the hospital. Carried her into his haveli - And she didn't see him any of these times. So he has a head-start in being aware of her physically. And that awareness is growing in the close quarters they are in now as roommates. At this point he is drawn to irresistibly to her, but I don't think he's in love with her just yet.

more than love, first step or otherwise i feel he is little bit feeling guilty towards her present condicition which was because of him. other than that i feel he is blank at present and a bit of awareness about woman's presence in his room.
