Absolutely agree...as crude it may sound to us Mohini chachi' allegations were spot on because rural india is all about a woman's character and honor still. They cannot or will not accept a liv in relationship neither can they perceive one. I guess the whole Kurti thing was needed to proceed with the marriage track. They are going for the real wedding here and not a fake one and that is the reason why Paro is introduced as his fiance and not his wife by Dillu. It's a depiction of Othello and for that they need to be married first. Also, I believe Rudra has started been possessive about her in some level...he could have absolutely refrained from accepting Dillu's claim but he didn't...he is going along with it...😆
