Ok, for a change, considering that the show is set in a small town, an orthodox family of Rajasthan , I can say that Mausam Chaachi and gang , for a change, raised very valid questions and raised very expected fingers on Rudra and Paro.
Paro is living in Rudra's bedroom. She comes out in the open wearing his clothes. Rudra has kept her hidden from the world and he has marked her as his territory. So, what is your "society aunty brigade of parampara , shuddh-ashuddh codebook" gonna think? CHARACTER. Everything in our country and many others comes down to moral yardsticks on character , the moment you are found out of the societal norms and "accepted behaviour" rulebook.
In that line, whatever Chaachi Sa and Sumer said may sound very crude and cruel to us Gucci Urban Showstoppers or the educated aware hot geeks , but if you look at that society fabric where Rudra and Paro belong , whatever they said cannot be argued with. Like someone said it here yesterday, Paro , in the eyes of the world has become Rudra's woman. He has taken over her life - so her life, her honour , her belonging all gets condensed in Rudra. So, when the outside world ( read the roodhwaadi/dakiyaanoos gang) looks at Paro as a woman who is spending her life in Rudra's room and in his clothes, it tries to mark her scarlet.
This is when the 'shroud of honour' is draped around her by Dilsher. With just one sentence " Ye Rudra ki mangetar hai", he instantly turns that scarlet back into virgin white. With one sentence he washes the suggested sin and abuse off Paro's and Rudra's relationship. And the parampara gang has to clench teeth and step back - Suddenly, Paro's persona commands respect and familial freedom, chaahe jhakk maar kar do, lekin denaa hoga. THIS is the power of a man and woman relationship when its given a name and shroud of respect in a society that is bound in self-defined culture and tradition.
I will not say that Chaachi and Sumer were wrong today. If a woman pops up in my house, wearing my male relative's clothes, my eyebrows are gonna criss-cross for sure. And if am running the house , i am gonna ask questions and how.
That said, i loved the similarity in Rudra and Dilsher as far as Paro is concerned. If Rudra is territorial and possessive about her, Dilsher is fatherly and protective. Dilsher turned the whole weather forecast upside down for Chaachi, in defence of his Dhuyaankumaari Bahurani.
The heroes of the day were Ananya Khare and Kali Prasad - SPOT ON ACTING and they made the showdown look so real. They completely stole the show today.
Ananya and Aashish had the wittiest and sauciest dialogues today. Watch Chaachi's taanon ki bocchaar on Paro and Rudra's cutting cold sarcasm to Samrat.
Moment of the day: Rudra clearing his throat and asking for a sewing kit from Sunehri so that Paro can hide his handiwork. 😉
P.S- Applause to the creatives for making their heroine wearing the hero's clothes such a big issue. Usually, such situations are only used for sensuality. But here, uss kurte-pajaame ne Rudra aur Paro ki ek hi episode meinn engagement karwaa di. 😆
