So these days it's very vey VERY common to see the hero manhandling the heroine.
It happens in almost every serial. And the audience laps it up.

I want to know, what do YOU think about it? Do you find it sexy? Do you dislike it?
And what you think is the limit till which it can be shown for viewers or rather you to find it sexy.

And do you think a hot and passionate romance can be shown WITHOUT manhandling shown in the serial?

There is a limit to Manhandling as long as the guy behavior is justified then I'm perfectly find with it.

Manhandling like holding hands forcefully...that also on a proper situation ...like in rangrasiya...if rudra manhandles paro he thinks she's a terrorrist...n he wants her to speak...so he behaves with her badly...i cant bare slapping, physical abuse or even sexual abuse.

To be honest,I do like watching the hero manhandling the heroine in a romantic show...it's kinda passionate and also it makes the hero guilty afterwards 😉 But I can tolerate it only upto grabbing shoulders and rattling 😛 Slaps and abuse are strict no-no.

I think it is possible to show passion without manhandling...that used to happen earlier,before the era of the angry young man came in

Nope, never liked it, will never like it but will swallow the bitter pill as a collateral to desi entertainment.

The only time manhandling becomes acceptable is if it is enjoyed by the lead female character but then the context for that would not be anger :))

I don't think any of the viewers like manhandling. Neither do I. Till some extent is ok but crossing the limit is just too much for me.

EDIT

As you said that it's common in the show and I agree it is common. But they should tone it down a little bit and only show that much that is needed. Why stretch it for no reason? Right?

It is fashionable to see it in Indian serials it's a pity because there is others way of developping loyalty of the televiewers and sometimes it is too much, OK for a passionate relation but not in that way

no I don't like manhandling at all and a hot scene can be passionate n intense. Without manhandling n indulging force

Sadly manhandling is considered macho

and romantic

It is sad to think women think so

If one is manhandled even once, it can hurt forever

People never realize it

True that this is fiction

but it often encourages young girls to fantasize about romance in the wrong way

A simple sweet romance is considered boring

and an angry young man manhandling an innocent girl is considered hot

I have always abhorred it in every show

however every show shows thisbut beyond that it is pathetic

to some extent anger is ok

and a little grabbing may be allowed

I would be happy if the woman could give a slap too

only a few shows show that

mostly the woman willingly forgives and that is my angst

either ways violence is wrong

who ever does it

In some other shows too I have stood by the female protagonist

and here too I stand by Paro and will not tolerate manhandling even thought this is fiction

YES i do!
don't jump on me feminists cz its the truth, i will kick the guy where it hurts the most if one did it in real to me..

but on fiction of course i love watching, cz as long as the situation and passions riding high can justify it and not be sadistic,then i am all for it!
