Yeah I skip most of her scenes. Hurrah for FF. Not that she's particularly bad, but well neither her character nor her hold much allure, for me at least.

Umm maybe ...but she was tossing around her head a lot , it was irritating ...

...And not just her head, her shoulders too... (wonder if she'd used a P&G shampoo just before the scene.šŸ˜† Sorry, couldn't resist it.)

And may I add that I wholeheartedly agree. I also think we Sanaya fans need to cool down and not react to every post that mean people write about Paro/Sanaya. Someone in this forum had written that Ashish Fans showed great patience in not reacting to negativity towards him before the show started, and their faith in him has been vindicated now. I think Sanaya is too good an actress and a person to need our aggressive defence. Her work and presence speak for themselves. But I digress.

May I add that let us all pray that Laila does not suddenly remember her profession as a dancer and start dancing in every appearance. šŸ¤¢šŸ˜‰For the sake of our sanity. That said, Ankita isnt a bad actress. I like her. Her fans also dont need to defend her in this fashion.

For me Laila still not impressed me like other characters in the show. In her introduction scene and also in the dance scene she was not up to the mark. In the dance scene she was trying so hard to give the naughty n seductive expression . For me she has to improve.I hope she will improve as the time passes by .I hope she will catch the character essence of Laila .Laila is a important in PaRud love story . So I am hoping for the best .She will improve .

ok I am entering very nebulous territory over what constitutes a erotic number I have seen the Moulin Rouge Cabaret act in Paris I have seen some burlesque which personally I found it a bit too raunchy for my taste and I have also witnessed some Mumbai bar dancers doing their bit all these how and when will serve a good post but not relevant herešŸ˜† and yes Ankita seemed to look the part when she entered the scene but then I later realized it had to do with the music lights and ambience for she failed later in that scene with paro and please I am not comparing She seemed stereotypical Now I want her to pull her socks and look that kind of woman that Rudra will want

AGREED.

Ankita Sharma has to understand that Rakhi Sawant and Madhuri Dixit are two different schools of naaz-nakhra-adaa -nazaakhat. And that has nothing to do with how good an actress you are.Its about how perceptive and grasping you are of the character on paper.

Seriously.

I get put off when people cannot lip-sing properly šŸ˜†

I really do like Ankita as Laila and she's great with the acting. The dance was okay but I didn't pay attention much because she can't lip sing :|

Addendum
I have seen some might fine vamps on American British Television growing up and even some sexily evil vamps on Middle Eastern Channels that could put the former television vamps to shame so was bit surprised over the hype so is this the first that a male lead smooches the antagonist? Please do tell
Indian Television has been a revelation to me post IPPKND and one that still keeps me interested

I didn't feel that dance was per se bad. The choreography could have been better, but I think the main problem is with the camera work and editing. They just did not focus on the dance what with trying to show Varun-Paro on one frame, Tejawat on the other and Bindi on the third. The editing felt too cluttered so it was not as effective.
The same lack of good camerawork is responsible for the height difference in the Paro-Laila scene - how did the director let that shot pass with Paro the scared one looking down on a confident Laila I don't know because again it affected the feel of that scene.
I think Ankita did really well in her introductory scene and in the scene with Paro the exaggerated moves was to show the difference between a worldly woman and a nave and sheltered girl I think. When she spoke of Rudra her face softened so you know she is being her own self and not posturing in front of an unworldly girl.
Sorry NB, I felt this was a tad harsh - she's been around for only 3 episodes and just like some people are arguing that the show or Paro or Sanaya needs some more time to connect, which I agree, so should Laila and the actress I think.
