Paro wiped her tears. She missed her mother and father. She had dreamt of her marriage ever since she was a little girl. She had always envisioned her mother and father to be there. But that was when she was little. When she believed her world was perfect.
Paro sat in front of the mirror, adjourned in all her wedding attire. She was envisioning him. Not Varunsa. But him. She couldn't get him out of her mind. During the dar, the memories would engulf her unto a sweet embrace of safety. But at night, that embrace would become a prison. Choking her. Cutting of her air-supply. Letting her die.
"Paro! Are you ready? AAAHH! Paro! I left for a few minutes and you fell asleep. You're gonna ruin your hair and make-up! I know that you're not gonna get much sleep tonight but that doesn't mean that you can sleep through your own wedding ceremony!"
"Chup Bindi! I wasn't sleeping."
"...like I can't tell whether you were sleeping or not."
"Bindi"
"Yes. Yes. Let's go. Varunsa must be getting impatient."
Giggling, Bindi led the way to a beautiful bride.

I was looking down. I was flushed. Varunsa made me nervous...but in a good way. I wasn't watching where I was going. I just wanted to go to my room and think about my wedding. I should have looked where I was going. That was my biggest mistake today.
I crashed into a boulder. I was sure it was a boulder, till I saw his red eyes. BSD.
I held my breathe as I looked at him. He was dressed like us. He wasn't in uniform. I looked at his clothes. As I looked back into his eyes. I could see him questioning me silently. It was like I forgot how to breathe.
Why was he here?
Why?
"Parooo"
"Aayi Thakurainsa"
