PART 7

Khanak after dropping anita at her home and consoling her frightened and scared family members, she returned to her apartment where she had been living alone for the past two years. Solitude has become her friend since she came from Delhi. She was missing her best friend Poonam these days since the phone calls they made every day were not enough for khanak and was again feeling lonely after a long time.

Khanak entered inside her apartment which is on the fourth floor (guys imagine ayesha's alas konkana's appt in wake up sid as khanak's) and locked the door after her. She changed into her night cloth, and then she went to the kitchen and took the milk from the fridge to boil it. Khanak went to her bed to sleep after having milk.

While laying in her bed, khanak smiled thinking about her friend who had scolded her so many times to have at least milk before sleeping. Then her thought went to anita and that stranger. "And what was his name...he said something like sh...shaa...uff ho khanak tum bhi naa cant you remember a single name" thinking this she hit her forehead. She always had the habit of forgetting a person's name since childhood. Like poonam said she is definitely a female version of ghajini but he is different from the men she had seen so far in her life just like yadav uncle (poonam's dad) who took care of her after her maa. His caramel eyes are like a mirror to his soul and she had seen a genuine concern in his eyes for anita. He was so helpful to them and had insisted the cops to file the complaint against those jerks but without involving anita. She slept while thinking about that stranger but little did she know that the person whose name she forgot will change her entire life with his love and his name will be engraved in her heart for a life time.

On the other hand, shaan reached his home around half an hour past ten. He knocked the door like he has been doing since his teen years because ringing the door bell will woke up his entire family and he had to face his mom's wrath. Harilal opened the door but instead of the toothy grin his worried looking face greeted him. He quickly understood that he was in trouble. As he thought, his mom was waiting at the dining table with his food and shooting daggers at him for coming late.

Shaan gave a sheepish grin to his mom and sat on the chair beside his mom.

Madhvi: shaan how many times will I have tell you to wash your hands before eating...

Shaan : sorry mom main abhi aye

Shaan went to wash his hands. Meanwhile madhvi arranged the reheated dinner in the table and told harilal to make fresh roti for shaan.

Shaan while sitting at his place,

Shaan: I'm so sorry mom...

Madhvi just ignored him and went to kitchen to bring water. Shaan ate his dinner silently because he knows that today he have to listen an earful from his mom.

Madhvi filled his glass and sat beside him.

Shaan: mom I'm really so sorry mom for coming late.

Madhvi: shaan this is not the first time... you are always doing this...coming late and then saying sorry has become your habit...and this harilal is helping you even after my repeated warning... She glared at harilal but he escaped from there with the excuse of bring more rotis.

Shaan: I can explain mom

Madhvi: now what explanation are you gonna give shaan... she gave a sarcastic look to him.

Shaan: mom, will you first listen to me ? In fact, I left the studio early today to come before dinner time...

Then shaan narrated the whole incident to madhvi excluding his love story and khanak's name.

Madhvi: beta, Is that girl alright now?

Shaan: yep mom... but I think she is scared due to that incident.

Madhvi: it will take some time to become normal but she will be ok... and shaan tell me who is that other girl... you didn't tell anything about her...

Shaan got choked and started coughing. Madhvi quickly gave water to him and patted his back.

Shaan: mom I'm done and very sleepy so I'm going to my room

Shaan kissed madhvi's cheeks and went to his room after wishing her good night.

Inside his room, shaan signed in relief and went to his bed to dream about his khanak.

A cab is going on a highway and a young girl about fifteen is giggling and laughing with her mother. Both were talking in a sign language and suddenly a truck came in the opposite direction with full speed. Due to this, the car's driver lost his control. When the truck was about to collide with the car, mother pushed her daughter from the car. Girl rolled over to the side of the road and the truck gets trashed with the car and it caught fire. Girl screamed for her maa...

khanak woke up screaming maa... Then she looked around to find herself in the bed. She started crying thinking about her maa and said, "why maa why you left me alone? Why you pushed from the car? Don't you love me? Why you left me to suffer in this world without you? I love you and I miss you maa... I miss you so much please come back maa... come back to your daughter..." she kept weeping until she fell asleep thinking and calling for her mother to come back to her...

Khanak has been getting this nightmare since her mother's death who was her world and her only family. And staying alone in Mumbai has increased her loneliness...

Next morning

At khandelwal mansion,

Through the curtains in the French window, an early morning sun is playing a peek - a - boo with our hero who was dreaming about his angel. A knock on the door disturbed his beautiful dream. After repeated knocking, he got up from bed to open the door.

He gave his million dollar smile which is reserved only for his mother till now showing his dimples and deepening the cleft in his chin, when his mom entered the room with his bed coffee. It's a daily ritual for this mom-son duo. Being the youngest one in the family, shaan was more attached to madhvi "a typical mama's boy" from childhood. He took his coffee mug from the tray his mother is holding while wishing her a good morning. She replied him with a kiss in his forehead. Then madhvi left his room, asking him to come downstairs after taking his bath for morning pooja.

When shaan came downstairs, he was surprised to find his dadi over there. He then remembered that his dadi is supposed to come yesterday evening itself from her yearly pilgrimage trip. This had completely went out of his mind due to the recent happenings in his life in which the major part of the blame should go to his khanak for turning his life upside down and making him crazy with her thoughts.

Shaan went towards his dadi and hugged her. Then he touched feet and took her blessing.

Dadi : so you still remember me... she asked shaan sarcastically.

Shaan: how can I forget about you, sweetheart... saying this shaan kissed her cheeks.

Dadi : badmaash, don't try to flatter me with your sweethearts...

Shaan : what did I do now, sweetheart?

Dadi : like you don't know... you promised me that you'll come to receive me but you were not even here to welcome me when I came back from my trip...

Shaan in his mind, "Oh! Damn man...Angel see what you have done to me...you are in my mind 247 and in your thoughts, now I'm even start forgetting important things... you are definitely going to get a punishment from me for all these torture ... a sweet punishment" and starts grinning like an idiot.

All the khandelwals and HL stared him as if he has grown another head by seeing their shaan smiling to himself and lost in some thoughts most probably someone's

Akshay : earth calling mere bhai... earth calling. Akshay shouted in shaan's ear and starts running.

Shaan who came back from his khanak's land, shouted " bhaiyya this is not fair" and started chasing akshay and they ran after each other in the living room.

Shaan and akshay sat on the couch patting after their chasing game, when madhvi came there and pulled both of their ears...

Shaan & akshay : mommm!!! They both shouted together.

Madhvi : when Will you both grow-up... you two were running after each other like small kids... now I'm fed up of your antics...

Akshay : mom please leave our ears... its paining mom...

Shaan : yeah mom... we are ready to hear all your scolding but before that please leave our ear... I'm sure by now it will have become red, then how will I face my fans with the ears which looks like a ripen tomatoes... saying this shaan made a crying face. Madhvi busted out laughing seeing shaan's face.

Madhvi: akshay now you are a married man and shaan you also will get marry soon... then what will I tell to your wives when they see both of you chasing each other and behaving like a child..

But shaan's mind is struck with the two words marriage and wife and again his thought went to his khanak, "when are you going to come to our home as my wife angel".

Madhvi: now both of you get up from this couch... its getting late for the morning pooja.

Then the trio went to the mandhir in their house and shaan went near his dadi to stand beside her but she ignored him. Madhvi and khushboo started the pooja and they gave prashad to everyone.

On the other side of the city,

Khanak after completing her morning chores, she went near her maa's photo and starts talking with her in sign language.

(guyz assume that whenever khanak talking with her mother, she is using sign language as their medium of communication)

Khanak: good morning maa...I don't know why I'm feeling this way that something is going to happen today maa... is it a good or bad thing? I don't know but be with me like you always have been maa...and maa one more thing you know that poonam hai naa maa, I have been trying to call her since yesterday but she is not picking up the phone maa. if she attend my call now, I'm not going leave her maa... ok enough of my boring talks, I have to leave soon maa... it's getting late... I love you sooo much maa and I miss you...

Then khanak kissed her mother's photo and smiled. She went to the kitchen to eat her breakfast.

When khanak was about to sit in a chair, someone rang her door bell. She went towards the door and opened it. But after seeing the person on the other side of the door, khanak was shocked to her core. She had least expected that she will see her best friend after such a long time. Both the friend hugged each other and went inside.

Khanak who came from her shocked state, asked her friend" poonam, what are you doing here? I mean suddenly you came here... you didn't even told me about your plan when we talked two days back... are haan why you didn't pick my call idiot? You know how worried was I? How uncle and aunty allowed you to come here that too alone? Speak up idiot... chup ho kar mujhe kya dekh rahi ho?

Poonam: take a deep breathe darling... so how was my surprise?

khanak glared at her friend knowing about her madness and raised her eyebrow like asking her to explain

poonam: ok ok sorry meri maa... ten thousand times sorry... ab khush... and about all your questions let me answer one by one...first maa and papa both of them know about me coming here...second I didn't talk to you for two days because I want to give you a surprise and third I came here because I'm gonna stay here with you in Mumbai.

Khanak: what... did you again fight with your parents? Yeah I know that's why you came here leaving delhi. Let me call uncle and inform about him about you.

When Khanak started searching for mobile, poonam stopped her by holding her shoulders

Poonam: darling will you please let me explain the whole thing, before you freak out.

And poonam started laughing seeing her friend in a panicking state but she felt happy to know that her friend loves her so much after her mother and will do anything for her.

On the other hand, Khanak was irritated with her friend for not speaking to her for two days and now she has guts to make fun of her. So khanak gave a slap on her arm... poonam immediately stopped her laughing and pouted at her friend.

Poonam: khanak why are you hitting me? You don't have to show your martial arts skill to me...

Khanak: hogaya tumara drama... idiot now tell me what's the matter...

Poonam: ok suno... three days back, I got promoted to asst manager post with a transfer order to Mumbai branch. Just by seeing the name Mumbai, I gladly accepted the offer by thinking that now I can see you every single day.

After listening to poonam, khanak was so happy to have friend here and thanked her maa to bring poonam to her and again hugged her idiotic friend. After some time,

Khanak: that was a great news... congrats idiot... but I don't know how you of all people got this promotion... like seriously the biggest dramabaaz of the world has been promoted to asst manager post. Now I doubt that your boss is also a pagal like you...

Its khanak turn to laugh at her friend now. Poonam stared her darling friend and smiled seeing her happy face. Then both the friends starting pulling each other legs and laughed by making fun of the other.

p.s. I hope you all liked my surprise...

I really wanna have dadi in my story because during the initial days of RBO, dadi was such a important character like accepting khanak in the khandelwal's house when everyone including shaan was against it, giving advises to khanak and telling her about shaan's childhood and interrupting our burthals romance... but after the shanak confession, the CVs just forgot about her character in the show...

In this story, dadi will play a major role in bringing our shanak together...:)

this is the longest update I hav written so far, so plz give ur comments both good and bad... it will help me to improve my writing...

And next update will be next year😉😉
