Her decision to appear for the interview,according to Shantanu,was a step forward.

The interview left a " heart in the mouth" kind of a feeling. The astute officer seated in front of her distressed her to no end and to top it his questions were trying !!

She looked and answered most of them most unconvincingly though the answer to the last question saved the day !! When asked the reason for her immigrating to this country was - "my husband being here for the past few years has been a catalyst in helping me love this country and now I too want to live here".

" Your answer to the last question will seal the deal,I'm sure " !!

A muted smile was all that she could afford !! Her conscious wasn't able to decipher the reason behind that answer. What if it falls through? Does that mean that she has to go back to India? But isn't that what she wants? Everything was jumbled up. NO!!! This time she knows for sure that she doesn't want to go back; this is home where she wants to spend the rest of her life. Thoughts adrift, her only question was that why did it take her so long to realize that Shantanu is the man she wants to spend the rest of her life with !! Here was a man who was ready to give up everything for her, took her stupidity,irrationality,mood swings in his stride and never complained once,not to forget her over zealous cooking escapades !!

And all she gave in return was agony and more of it !! Chagrined and browbeaten she found it hard to face him !!

" Khanak, where are you" ?

" In the car !! What kind of a question was that "?

" You look lost, so thought of asking ".

Though he continued with his blabber, she hardly registered !!! Her senses were captive with studying this virile figure next to her. In so many months she,not even once admired her husband, whose mere presence was enough for girls to go weak in their knees. The feeling was one of enlightenment,realizing what she was missing out all this while.

To begin with those jet black ruffled hair, sets the perfect tone for that irresistibly alluring face !! Moving down to the well sculpted forehead,which while frowning also looked adorable !! The eyes somewhat rabbity was the most expressive part of his face !! A very sharp etched nose, when grazing on hers would send shivers down her spine. And not to forget those succulent lips,which she has already tasted, conjoined with that sharp chin which one wants to pull all the time !!

What's wrong with me? Why this sudden transformation? I'm going crazy with all these thoughts ! My brains seem to be on a holiday !! Or am I in love……

God !!! I am acting so silly,all I have done for the past few days is stare at him, steal glances,want him to look at me !!!!
