Hey Guys.. Due to tinypic deleting the GR8 Magazine Interview.. I had rewritten the interview and thought of posting it again with the pics 😃. The idea came.. as a member asked in the help desk section😃.

The romantic rains steadily made an exist giving way to the chilly winter days. The rain brought in the romance and pure fragrance of love and all the TV serials are still in their romantic mode in almost all the serials across the channels the romantic flavour is on, steadily moving towards the intimate, sensuous side of romance. In this wintery season two actors shed of their demure persona and open up the forbidden route of questions. They are none other than the lead couple of Yash Patanik's Rang Badalti Odhani on Star One. For the first time you would see Karan Tacker aka Shantanu and Yashashree Masukar aka Khanak in never before seen look and saying never before heard quotes.

Karan has caused a spell on all his fans with his cute and chocolate boy looks. The Business Graduate has certainly created a niche for himself and in his one and a half year of career achieved enormous fan following. Well on the other hand is the bubbly, happy go lucky Yashashree who has won the hearts with her simple demure character of Khanak. From the timid village belle to the sexy sizzler, she will surely create a buzz with this transformation of hers. To know more about these spellbinding personas, read on.

Tell us something about your childhood days?

Yashashree: I was born and brought up in Mumbai and really have fond memories of childhood. I was very obedient child then not that now I am not obedient but yes those were days. I have always loved going to school and even on the first day of school, I didn't cry like other children. I loved to study and always used to get a rank between 1st and 3rd. Though there is one thing I highly regret till date and will always regret. The worst thing I have ever done in life is that I used to hit frogs and lizards with stones when I used to see them anywhere. I really feel bad and guilty because of it. Lekin college mein aate bl mere par nikal aaye, none of the less I have enjoyed my college days too.

Karan: I was born in Delhi and then shifted to Mumbai. I came from a business family and was grown up in the business environment so it was natural for me to do BMS. But I was fascinated with this glamour world and wanted to try my hand at it.

Why did you choose acting as a profession?

Yashashree: I always used to participate in extra-curricular activities like elocution, debates, quizzes. So one day my teacher asked me to participate in a play as they needed someone and I madly agreed. When I went for its audition I have to play a role a mother's role to a girl who was elder to me. I said I would like to play a daughter's role but they were sceptical as I might not able to do that role of a crazy frenetic daughter. When my turn came for the audition I did the daughter's act and unbelievably they liked me and selected me for the role. Well this was my first stint with acting and I loved it. That's when I decided that it is acting that I want to do. After that I have got many plays and the more I acted, the more I was firm to take up acting as my profession.

Karan: Well I somewhere knew that I would love to be there as I can be there, so I gave it a try and fortunately things fell in place. I knew it would be risky and it might just not work out. But then I thought I would rather take a chance than think in future ki mein shayad actor ban sakta tha. (can't read the word)Was Acting that I got interested in though I have done (can't read the word) I feel acting gives you a variety whereas modelling is monotonous and also I get very conscious during photoshoot (We know it quiet well)

Page 2

How did your family react to your decision?

Yashashree: Well I had decided right in 8th standard that acting is what I wanted to do. My parents asked me to complete my studies. This decision of mine was not easily accepted as I come from a traditional family. They said you can give it a try but if there is any problem you have to leave it. You know when I use to go for plays and if it was past eight in the night, I used to cross my fingers and pray because my parents were quiet strict about values. But now they understand and they have always supported me in my decisions.

Karan: Well initially my dad wasn't too happy as he was expecting me to join his business but seeing my progress they are now support me. I still am business oriented and my next step would be to get into production (Smiles).

Tell us about your first infatuation'.

Yashashree: My first infatuation is from the industry when I used to watch the serial Krishna only because of him and had a huge huge crush on Swapnil Joshi.

Karan: Well it goes a long way back when I went on a school camp in the seventh grade. I was in Arya Vidya Mandir Boys School and the other branch of Arya Vidya Mandir girls school also accompanied us and one of the girls came and spoke to me. I ended up liking that girl and she too responded in the same way.

How far would you go on a first date?

Yashashree: See this is something that you cannot say in if you really like a person from the bottom of your heart you never know and you might just go little forward. As far as I am concerned I think I can never be intimate with a person on a first date.

Karan: Well you play the ball as it comes and in this kind of a situation there are many factors involved that shape your decision. What's wrong if your first date goes beyond enjoying the meal, its majorly depends on the chemistry that builds up between you and your first date. But it's been two years now I haven't gone on a date.

Have you ever or will you ever indulge in a one night stand?

Yashashree: Never, I believe in relationship, love and this concept of one night stand is miles away from my thinking. I have never and will never indulge in it.

Karan: Well I haven't been lucky until now but I don't know whether I will or not.

Page 3

Were you ever enticed towards someone from the same sex?

Yashashree: (Laughs) No an absolute no. This has never happened and I am sure will never happen but yes I love Madhuri Dixit and wouldn't mind marrying her.

Karan: No

Has a guy/girl ever hit on you?

Yashashree: No no..thank God for this

Karan: In our industry there are many gay men and earlier I used to react very strongly, abuse then and then shout that I will murder you, if you come close. But now I politely say that 'Buddy I am sorry but I don't think of you in other way'. I respect their preference and now I think that for them it's normal to be with a guy just how it's normal to be with a girl.

Biggest turn- on in a guy/girl?

Yashashree: Sense of humour

Karan: Intelligence and her passion to success to her career.

Biggest turn- off in a guy/girl?

Yashashree: Bad Breath

Karan: Well girls who don't have any goals other than get married and settle down.

Do you think it's alright to indulge in pre-martial sex?

Yashashree: This is something that will depends upon the individual. And today no one is aloof from its (can't read the next word) if you really love a person then what's the harm. But what is more important is that whatever your decision shouldn't be regretted later on.

Karan: Each to its own as everyone knows what is good for them and what isn't

Do men always have sex on their minds?

Yashashree: Yes, a big yes as I have had quiet experience on this. When I was in college I used to wear skirts and modern dresses and the way the stares from many guys it felt that they are visually imagining with their eyes.

Karan: I don't agree with it, sometimes its ok but it doesn't mean I can think of sex 24/7

Do women also always have sex on their minds?

Yashashree: Well I don't really think so

Karan: I would say not always but yes they also do think about it and much more than men. I have also read it in a recent study that women are 4% ( hope I got the figure right) hornier than men. And these days I have met and been around many such women.

Page 4

Will you ever be in a solely physical relationship?

Yashashree: No I just cannot see myself in a solely physical and I really get attached to people soon and also I will not get intimate with someone whom I have no feelings for.

Karan: To be frank being solely in a physical relationship isn't my cup of tea. Even if it would start with being intimate, I would get emotionally attached to the girl. This is what you call Indian upbringing and I am proud of it.

In today's scenario is it a tough task for a nice guy to get the right girl?

Yashashree: No it's the other way around; It's really difficult to a good guy in today's world. If you get one decent, respectable, virtuous gentleman then it's no less than winning a jackpot (smile)

In today's scenario is it a tough task for a nice girl to get the right guy?

Karan: feels it's difficult for the nice guys like Me (Smiles) to get a good decent girl. You get a Culture Shock when you go to the clubs or pubs these days and see the girls so straight forward and modern. I seriously can't even get into a relationship with any such girl forget about getting married.

Do you think that the notion that girls are attracted to bad boys is true?

Yashashree: Well it's not true for me but I have seen many of my friends falling for the bad guys. I don't understand how they can love a bad guy when they somewhere know that the guy might not change.

Karan: I absolutely agree and it's a fact that today for girls, a bad guy is a turn on. Seeing the trend today I can say this notion is quiet true.

Page 5

And what about the notion that guys are attracted to bad gals is true?

Yashashree: Well this absolutely true as guys get a high to see a bad girl around who can dominate them and all their theory. But in either cases most of the times; at the end of the decent girl or guy has to it pay the price for loving the wrong person.

Karan: This too is true but not in my case as I hate to be in the company of such girls. I find it really unattractive to see a girl being so straight forward in fact that itself is a big turn-off. I would wanna a girl to say 'No it's too soon' I just like this I ideology. I would like if she is bounded back by shyness and knows her boundaries.

Have you experienced the casting couch?

Yashashree: Yes, I wouldn't want to name the person or company, but it was a horrible experience. I was selected for a music album and then then the guy told me I needed to give something in return. I freaked out and said that you can keep your album with you and just left the place. There was again an experience like this but if you have the right values inculcated no one can force you. I know I never wanted to get work like this and I was confident that I will get good work like this and I was confident that I get good work with my talent and (can't get the word again)

Karan: Yes, tons of times and its really depends on you how you handle it have always said that I have come here for work. Thus I have lost a lot of opportunities.

The industry you are in, is assumed to be bold and forward your views?

Yashashree: See frankly speaking, all five fingers aren't the same and there all types of people, some who are bold and some who still hold their values. The photoshoot that I have done for GR8's something that I have never attempted before shall never wear such outfits in personal life like the ones I have worn for the shoot. So as long as there is a professional commitment it's a different story but something like this in my personal life is out of the question.

Karan: I don't agree with it as I feel that it's very personal decision of an individual to indulge into sexual favours or pleasures without commitment. But in today's world this kind of behaviour is not restricted to Television or Bollywood Industry. Outside these things are happening and people have become too practical and straight forward.

Page 6

Will you ever forgive your partner if he/she has cheated on you?

Yashashree: Never

Karan: I cannot forgive but I will definitely forget about it.

Will you ever want to be in a live- in relationship?

Yashashree: Not as of now and in the future I will only get into one only if I really love that person and I am committed to him. See getting married in our profession hammers the career is a common belief but because of my work pressures. I would rather be in a live- in relationship because being in a marriage is a big responsibility and takes a lot of time. So I would want to enjoy all the moments of marriage and till then live with someone you love is not wrong.

Karan: Why not but with someone whom I really love and I am committed to. I also feel that it's a waste of time if you really want to marry a person. I also find it senseless when people get engaged and don't get married for years; I feel it's an unnecessary delay. If I get into a live-in, it will not be for a longer time as I just want to experience it.

What kinda guy/girl will you fall for?

Yashashree: The guy should love me, be honest with me and should be committed to me. And most importantly should be a very good friend of mine. If he does something wrong also, he should come and tell me that he has committed a mistake that should be the level of understanding. And one more thing is that he should be an artist by human (smiles).

Karan: A simple modern girl with a tinge of traditional values and who is passionate about her career.

Well we got to know them in and out on a very personal level so now let's find out what do they think of each other' On screen she is all set to impress him and win his heart by her love but is the scenario true off screen too' Over to Yashashree.

Karan in one word: Handsome Hunk

What do you dislike about Karan: He keeps bossing me'..(Makes an innocent face)

What do you like about Karan: His intelligence

Will you ever date Karan: No, we shoot together for such a long time so I wouldn't want to date someone with whom I spent a major part of my day.

Relation with Karan: Good friends'..

Your reaction if Karan asks you for a date: I will tell him the same thing yaar.

What if Karan proposes you: (Laughs) I can bet on anything as this is just impossible and I am sure he will never do this.

In the serial he is enjoying the treat of being wooed by his better half and knowingly tries to be unknown to her plans'. But is this situation true in real life too' Over to Karan

Yashashree in one word: Hard working

What do you dislike about Yashashree: Hmm.. (Still Thinking) the very fact that I am just thinking and thinking and still unable to get an answer means that there is nothing to dislike about her.

What do you like about Yashashree: She is a sweet gal

Will you ever date Yashashree: No I don't think so, she is a sweet girl but we won't click that way.

Relation you share with her: Friendly/ Professional'.

Your reaction if Yashashree asks you for a date: I feel it will be a bad decision as we already spend twelve to fifteen hours a day together.

What if Yashashree proposes you (laughs)

(Laughs) I am sure she will never. The amount I trouble her she will not even in think of proposing to me forget actually popping the question.

Well, here comes an end to our conversation and time to bid bye. All said and done Yashashree and Karan I would just end by saying that it's hard to find such straight, forward and upfront actors like them in the industry and would wish them all the luck for their future.
