He pauses on his way to the bathroom turns around and repeats "Yep only one!"

While he is getting ready, the guard's wife and two kids show up. She offers tea to the women has half a cup herself

Khanak starts readying for the process of the pooja itself. She asks for the kids names. She didnt know how many were going to show up or how old they are she didnt buy anything specific, she planned to give them Rs.100 or Rs.150 each with the food.

Her husband appears dressed in his work clothes a tan dockers and a marroon and yellow check shirt with shoulder straps, he is already wearing socks!!

He enters the ante room looking gorgeous, as he usually does, wet hair swept back neatly, shaved and cologned''

He is there in 19 minutes actually!

Khanak: Socks kyon pehna?

Khanak gives him a sarcastic smile

She turns to look at him while arranging the flowers'..

Khanak glares'' "Phir aap jajaiye" (sulking)

He stands there, hands in pockets

She wants to light a new diya the match box wont strike, she tries a couple times he extends his hand with a "Mujhe do"

"Nahi"

He grabs it from her lights it gently, adjusts the wick and looks at her

"Thanks nahi bologi"

"Nahi"

She lights incense sticks and makes place settings

Tells him what needs to be done, "I have watched Dad do it"

"You were not in town last year, when we were to(gether?)"

"You remember?"

"Barely" (she says husikly)

"But you do!

"Can I go get them? he asks

She nods silently

She goes to the kitchen to get the offerings, he goes to get the kids, tries to talk to them as they walk in. The Moms look at the couple curiously, as Jamuna may have hinted something

"Can I have coffee?" he asks as they are walking back into the ante room

"No! Not yet" (firm)

"You had your chai"

She turns around startled "How do you know?"

He picks up her almost cold tea cup and downs it "This is how"

The women exchange meaningful looks and hide smiles

"A rose scented tea cup"!
