Finally I completed reading all the 24 parts of our FF Partial Amnesia

Sorry I could not read and post my comments earlier I made it a point to read it completely and now I am so happy I completed reading it in 3 days during my work breaks I kinda got lots of free time these days because I was not well had an accident just joined work this week and my team didn't assign much work to me so happy i could read ur awesome writing

I don't have words to express my gratitude and can never Thank u enough for writing this awesome FF
U gave us RBO back We all are missing our RBO Yashran Shanak, K-family and everything and everyone related to RBO everyday but reading ur updates brought back memories of our beloved RBO
I felt like I am watching RBO with every part u have written simply beautiful writing pure bliss 😍
I missed all the fun and discussions with our fellow Odhanians here in this thread but have always heard this FF is rocking but I am the only one late in joining everyone I am very sorry but I am sure I will catch up from now on post regularly

Every update is very special to me I loved everything u have written its very close to my heart it is RBO every scene, every reaction, every dialogue the entire essence of our RBO I take a bow to ur writing Hats off to u

I had tears reading the emotional parts and was laughing and all smiles at funny parts I tried my best not to get caught by people at work seeing my facial expressions and reactions and successfully i was able to hide it from them

I just finished reading 24th part very emotional part I am having tears in my eyes

Part 25

28^th January 2011, 10 PM

"Bhabhi?" Khanak turned to Khusboo wonderingly right after dinner that night as she helped clear the table. Khushboo was wiping her mouth with a napkin. The rest of the family had left the table. Shaan was asleep in his room not bothering for dinner.

"Hmmm?" Khushboo said without looking up and making a face as though she had swallowed a bitter pill.

"15^th February ko kuch hota hain?" Khanak asked abruptly.

Khushboo dropped her napkin in shock and turned sharply to look at Khanak. How did Khanak know?! She thought, her mind racing. Shaan had only just told her the previous day that 15^th February was their baby's due date. Khanak noticed Khusboo's eyes widen then relax a little. "Errr----nahi toh-----kuch hota hain---kya mutlub---Khanak?" she said in broken sentences.

Khanak looked at Khushboo closely. "Nahi bhabhi---wohh main----pata nahi kyun-----aisa laga---kay ----15^th February ko -----" Khanak said slowly, her face blank. Khushboo looked away flashing her eyes more than she normally would. "Bhabhi---meri aur Shaantanu ki shadi----May main hui thee nahh?"

"Haan----" Khushboo said fidgeting uncomfortably now. Khanak went into deep thought.

"15the February ko kiseeka janam din bhee nahi hota?" Khanak asked again.

Khushboo began to positively sweat now."Nahi Khanak!!" Khushboo said in a voice louder than she had intended. She got up from her chair. "Sangeet ki tayyari nahi karni kya?! ITNA sara kaam para hain" she looked at Khanak, then immediately lifted her chair to put it in place.

"Aray Bhabhi!!" Khanak said completely distracted "YAY aap kya kar rahee hain! Iss halat main. Mujhay dijeeyay!" Khanak said worried and snatched the chair from her lifting it herself. Khushboo looked on in shock.

"Khanak!! You're not supposed to lift chairs too genius!!" she blurted out without thinking making Khanak let go of the chair.

"Kyun?" Khanak asked half shocked, half confused.

Just then Khushboo and Khanak heard hurried footsteps. Looking around they saw Shaan coming down the stairs looking harassed. He had seemed to witness the scene from a distance.

"Khanak! Tumko doctor nay bhaari cheezay uthanay say mana kiya hain!" he scolded her. Khushboo looked on guiltily. Khanak looked down in disappointment at Shaan's outburst. She had not talked to Shaan properly since so many days. How she had wished to speak to him, to have him in front of her and here he was scolding her. "----Kitnee baar bataya hain tumko-----" he finished.

"Sorry---" Khanak said her eyes fixed to the floor. "Laikin accident say chote meray sur par lagee thee---toh is ka is say kya taaluk hain?" she asked, half sad, half annoyed.

"Khanak mainay kah diya na kay you can't pick up heavy things so you can't pick up heavy things! " Shaan said irritably. "Ub jao jakar lait jao!---chalo----" he beckoned Khanak to go to her room.

"Aap ki neend kharaab hogaee iss liyay aap itnay irri----irri-tay-ted hain---haina?" Khanak pouted and said softly but Shaan did not hear. He was busy telling Khushboo to go and rest too.

"What did you say?" Shaan turned to look at Khanak and asked her sharply.

"Kuch nahi----" and huffing she turned away and went o her room, leaving Shaan in his irritated state.

30^th January 2011

Khanak did not make an effort to meet or talk to Shaan the whole of the next two days even though Shaan was home for the weekend. She had still not forgiven him for the jittery manner in which he had talked to her a couple of nights ago. The entire family was busy in the celebrations for the sangeet ceremony a few days later. Madhvi had been calling up the guest list that Khushboo had made and would snap at anyone who talked to her in the middle of her phone conversations. Natasha and Mitul would offer their services (Miul would offer his at 12 in the night much to the annoyance of a tired Natasha who wanted to spend time with him after a hard day with the wedding preparations) Shaan would grin and tease mitul about how Mitul had purposely come at that time of the night when he knew no work would be required of him. Khanak was being hogged by Dadi, Khushboo and Madhvi through much of the day and Shaan did not even get a chance to get a glimpse of his wife while she chose designer clothes in the living room or when she decided the sweets that were to be made. When he did get a chance to see her, he saw in her eyes a certain sadness. Watching his mother inviting gests over the phone, Shaan finally understood what it was about.

30^th January 2011, 9 PM

'Dad zara darwazay par daikhay kaun hain----please---" Akshay said loudly to Sunil across the living room. Akshay had his laptop on his lap and felt too lazy to get up and see who was at the door.

"Kya zamana agaya hain!" Sunil said reproachfully. " Beta BAAP ko order day raha hain----" Sunil said loudly still fixed to his seat. Akshay looked up guiltily.

Khanak walked pass and smiled at the father and son. "Main khole daitee hoon Ada----aap baithay rahay---" she said warmly. Sunil raised his eyes towards Akshay giving him a SEE-this-is-what-you-call-a child look.

What followed wasa soft scream from Khanak. Khanak's mother was standing at the door way smiling widely at her. "BAIII!!AAAPP??!" Khanak screeched excitedly andhugged her tightly closing her eyes. When she opened them she saw Shaan standing right behind her mother smiling warmly warmly at Khanak. Khanak blushed and looked down while letting go of her mother's shoulders. "Bai----Aappp---aap nay toh mujhay---mujhay surprise kar diya----" Khanak said. She still felt Shaan's eyes on her and continued to look down as her heart raced in happiness.

"Meri beti ki shadi aur main na aoo? Jamai sa mujhay kheench kar layay hain!" Bai said looking at Shaan fondly. Shaan did a courtesy to her. Bai held Khanak's face and caressed it warmly. "Kitnee khush lug rahee hain meri bachee----" she said. Khanak stole a glance at Shaan who was smirking and then suddenly cleared his throat loudly and pointedly. Khanak remembered that she was cross with him and turned her face away. She felt Shaan's dispproving and reproachful eyes look at her but she kept her face turned sideways as she pulled her mother in the house and gave a chance to everyone to greet her.

"Dhulwadi say safar theek raha?" Sunil was asking Bai.

Shaan continued to look at Khanak, she getting the feeling that his stare was turning more intense as seconds passed

"Mom? Mom nay toh itnee shopping zindagi main nahi kee!" Akshay added his two pence, oblivious to the couple trying to communicate with each other a feet away from them.

Finally Khanak gave in and looked back at him again. The look on Shaan's innocent vehement face made her smile.

"Oh please Akshay don't exaggerate!" Madhvi was saying.

Shaan turned his head a bit and looked away feigning anger.

"Mom Akshay is right waisay----" Khushboo chirped in.

Khanak pouted. Shaan chuckled.

"Where is Natasha?! That girl ALWAYS disappears!" Khushboo kept talking. "Aray aunty jee aap kay paas paranday hongay?" she asked Khanak's mother.

Khanak smiled at Shaan's infectious chuckle then giggled, then blushed. Shaan placed his hands in his pockets and winked at her.

"I wish Simran and Adi had stayed----" Dadi was talking more to herself than anyone else in the room.

Shaan slowly pressed hismiddle 3 fingers to his palm, stretching out his pinky and his thumb, making a gesture towards Khanak and winking again. Khanak smiled then suddenly looked around

"Didi I'm here what do you want?" Natasha entered the living room. "-----Shaan who do you want to talk on the phone to?" She asked catching Shaan making the hand gesture. Khanak jumped and immediately turned to her mother. Shaan's hand shot back into his pocket. Madhvi looked at Shaan sternly.

"Nahi---errr--- nothing-----Main tohkah raha tha kay-----MOM itnay phone calls kar rahee hain-----er Mom are you done? How many people are you inviting anyway?" he said picking up the long list distractedly and asking his mother, not caring much for the answer.

Madhvi did not reply still looking at Shaan and his suspicious behaviour sternly. Natasha grinned at Shaan, then at Khanak then raised her hands in the air and stalked off before Khushboo could stop her.

30^th January 2011, 11:30 PM

Khanak picked up her phone and smiled at it for the longest time, her heart beating madly. She had to call Shaan. He was waiting for her to call him, she knew. It was an understood thing when Shaan had made that phone hand gesture to her that he wanted HER to call her, not the other way round. She had understood what he was trying to communicate; just like always. She scolded herself a bit for behaving like a she was actually a girl about to be married the first time, getting all the pre marital jitters in her stomach. But then, she realized, she WAS a girl about to be married in the true sense. Her heart beat raised to its highest high as the thought entered her mind, the thought of intimacy with her husband. With trembling fingers and deep breaths she dialed Shaan's number.

"Itnee dair kyun laga dee---" a gruff voice greeted her at the other end making her stomach churn. WHEN would she stop letting this man have such an effect on her? she thought vaguely. "Khanak?" Shaan took her name. It sounded a thousand times better being uttered by him.

"Hmmm---" Khanak managed.

"Kya hua----" Khanak felt Shaan grin at the other end of the line.

"Kuch nahi----jub aap---aap mera naam laitay hain toh----toh" Khanak said fumbling a bit.

"Acha lagta hain?" Shaan asked breathlessly. He rested his elbow on his bed and pushed back his head in the air, feeling suddenly light headed.

"Hmmm----" Khanak said.

Shaan laughed. "Khanak! Tum ITNA kub say sharmanay lagee? Meri Dhulwadi ki Jhansi ki rani kahan gaee haan?!"

Khanak did not answer, just smiled. Shaan laughed again.

"Aap Dhulwadi gayay thay? Aapko toh dhulwadi bilkul pasand nahi----" Khanak said conversationally.

"Tum chahtee thee na----kay tumharee Bai tumharay saath ho----toh unko lainay jaana toh tha na----" Shaan said.

"Apko kaisay pata tha kah-----" Khanak started.

"Khanak don't ask me silly questions----"Shaan interrupted her then immediately realized what he had said. "Nahi I mean----ub tum naraz muth hojana----" Shaan said warningly, then sighed. "Mera mutlub tha---kay---kay tumhari hur ek itcha mujhay pehlay say pata chal jatee hain----I'm just too cool that way----"

Khanak giggled. "You are'" she said finally.

"Aray wah! Ajj toh Shan beta tumharee lottery lug gaee!" Shaan said over the phone. "Shaantanu Khandelwal ki patni unki tareef kar rahee hain! " he said as though he was making an announcement. "Irada kya hain?" he added in his husky voice that made Khanak's face heat up.

"Shaantanu----apko sharam nahi aati----" Khanak said blushingly, tightening her hold on the cell phone and making a fist out of her free hand.

Shaan took a deep breath sighed and said breathlessly. "Aati toh hain----tumharay saamnay aatay hee chalee jatee hain----"

"Dhatt----" Khanak buried her face deeper into the cell phone, her hair flying across her face in the winter breeze. "Waisay bhee--- main apkay saamnay thori na hoon----abhee doh haftay aur hain"

"Khanak you seriously think we're not going to meet for TWO weeks!? You must be joking!" Shaan said at the other end laughing as he did.

"Mummy jee aur Dadi humesha meray saath hotay hain!" Khanak reasoned.

"Abhee hain?" Shaan breathed softly in his cell phone.

Khanak didn't answer as she looked around her empty room. "Shaantanu---mujhay neend arahee hain----" she said though Shaan knew she had said it half heartedly.

"Hmmm---acha go to sleep then----" Shaan said feigning weariness.

"Shaantanu!!" Khanak said in a rush thinking that Shaan would hang up. "Thank you----Bai ko lanay kay liyay----"

"Khanakkk! Dosti main no sorry and no thank you!" Shaan said dully.

"Aur ----pyaar main?" Khanak asked softly leaving Shaan stumped.

"Who abhee mahapurush nay decide nahi kiya!" he said finally, recovering. "Decide kar kay bataoo ga! Waisay Khanak? Tum pyaar main jo kaam NAHI karnay hain un ki baat kyun kar rahee hon? Pyaar main jo karna hain-----uss ki baat karo na-----" his voice became a whisper as he reached the end of the sentence.

"Shaantanu main soh rahee hoon!" Khanak said loudly, this time her voice sounding a bit more confident about her decision.

Shaan laughed. "You've taken your medicines right?"

"Haan 20^th baar mainay medicines LAY lee hain!" Khanak said. "Ub bye!"

"Bye! I love you----Khanak----"

Khanak heard, smiled, but disconnected without replying. Shaan looked at his phone for a long time after that smiling to himself. Khanak had begun to talk freely about their marital life, he thought. She was looking forward to the life she was to lead with him. She deserved the truth didn't she? She deserved to know that their marriage had completed in the true sense despite the fact that she had fallen in love with him all over again. She deserved to know that they had come closer when the news of the baby in her womb had greeted them, that there still was much MORE to their married life, their relationship and their level of understanding. He would tell her about their real relationship, he decided.

About the baby? Still a big No.
