NDTV Imagine's popular show, Chandragupta Maurya has taken a ten year leap and Yashashri Masurkar has been roped in to play the female lead, in the show. Yashashri would play the role of 'Mrignayni,' the princess of Takshilla. Yashashri was last seen in Rang Badalti Odhani.

Sources reveal that, Masurkar is happy and excited about the role as well as about the look of the character.

Ashish Sharma has been introduced as the grown up Chandragupta in the show and Yashashri would be his love interest. However, the show will have a love triangle with Dhananand and Chandragupta both falling for Mrignayani.

After Rang Badalti Odhani, Yashashri Masurkar is entered in NDTV Imagine Chandragupta Maurya.

It is already reported that Chandragupta Maurya is going to take a leap. For which creative team is looking for a suitable face to suit a grown up character. And they found Yashashri Masurkar who was seen in a subdued and doting daughter in law Khanak role in Star One show Rang Badalti Odhani. In this she is playing the princess of Takshila, Mrignayni who marries Chandragupta Maurya.

Getting this role Yashashri Masurkar is very excited and said that it is very different from Khanak. This is first time when she is seen a historical show. historical shows are very interesting as they are remembered later times. It is challenging role for her and to act that character which existed many eras ago. Ashish Sharma from Gunahon Ka Devata is playing grown up Chandragupta Maurya. The show is produced by Sagar Arts and 72 Degrees.

Well, it is really for Yashashri Masurkar's fans to see her again in new show.

Guys yashu is so lucky 2 gt dis role. Jus came over an articl sayn dat the trp of CGM is 1.7. Dat too its a weeknd show. So jus imagine. With such a twist wer its gna reach. Neway jus help me frm wer did u gt the news dat CGM ppl wil convey our regards to yashu. Pls help..

Yashashri Masurkar as Mrignayni in Chandragupta Maurya

Yashashri Masurkar is all set to essay the lead role of a gorgeous princess, Mrignayni in NDTV Imagine TV's popular show, Chandragupta Maurya. The show produced by Sagar Arts and 72 Degrees Northe took a 10 year leap last week with the introduction of the grown up Chandragupta in Ashish Sharma. And this Saturday, the entry of Mrignayni, the Princess of Takshila will be shown.

Yashashri was earlier seen as simple girl next door look in Star One's Rang Badalti Odhani as she portrayed the character of Khanak in the show.

Mrignayni will be the girl opposite Chandragupta Maurya. However, the audience will see a twist with both Chandragupta and Dhananand (Sooraj Thapar) falling for Mrignayni.
