After a rather insipid major part of the week, a good episode to bring in the weekend!π
A noteworthy Monday...and, a 'joy'ous Friday!!π³π
The CVs pitched it largely right today...the newbies revolved around ShaNak...hence, contributed in taking the ShaNak journey forward! ππΌ
The moments that stood out for me today...
Attention to detail...
Shaan sipping on warm water, better still heating the water himself!
Superb touch that, to the 'coming of age'...set in the context of the dubbing and all...brilliant detailing that! π
Adi leaving for work...as everyone is busy winding up their day...with the call centre backdrop...was defo attention to detail! ππΌ
The six distraught lives converging together...nice touch, that!π
The 'real' ShaNak world!
Was the highlight of the episode really!βοΈπβοΈπ
From the pressures of the real world...to the ShaNak essence despite the same!! There was superlative stuff on display!!
Lots of WoW moments, really!
The quintessential flippant Shaan, now moving beyond the 'fun and games'...
The intrinsically self-centred Shaan, now not wanting to engage in 'flippant' sparring...
The innately sensitive Shaan, realising he has erred...realising that he has to look beyond his own problems...acknowledging their problems!
KT captured every nuance bang on!βοΈ
From the slight twitch of his chin to express Shaan's "not again!" moment...to the matter of fact "Tum hi batao main kya karoon, Khanak"...to the man bogged down by the sheer humility of the 'realistic' ways of the world...to the final pause, as Khanak walks away...
KT was brilliant!!π
Yashu supported him in equal measure! π
From a woman angered by her husband's indifference...to being completely clueless about the reason of her husband's ire...Yashu brought out Khanak's subtle 'value add' spot on!π
The 'real' ShaNak love story!
A little strange, isnt it??!!
But that is exactly what makes ShaNak what they are...their love story remains unchallenged even in the 'real' world! By the sheer merit of its simplicity!!π
Yashu was absolutely spectacular in her wide-eyed innocence βοΈ...as Khanak figures that Khushi's alter ego is not Joy!π
Shaan and his boyish charm...beautifully understated by KT, as Shaan, in the most nonchalant manner says "Kya chal raha hai?"ππΌ
And, the semi squats with the 'Shaan'esque apologies that followed...with Khanak's throaty laughter...was pure BLISS!!π³ππ
The gargantuan cherry..."Joi hui"π€£...with the ShaNak private exchange that 'completed' the moment...even Gangubai was forced to complain "Kip saphe deestance!"π
Adi stood out too!
As he stutters from wife to GF to fake girlfriend...Karan Godwan got the essence of the moment spot on!
Gangubai was completely in character!
Her "bistar pe kabaddi" comment was hilarious!π
A special mention here for Yashu...
Only she can carry of a such a cliched description of a Bharatiya naari in such a non-cliched manner!ππΌ
The aplomb with which she portrayed Khanak's endearing simplicity in the balcony scene was applause worthy!π
The final Khanak's 'you're getting too close for comfort' moment with Adi...Yashu hit bulls eye!
Karan Godwan, too, with Adi's bewildered expression, pitched that moment just right!π
Scope for improvement areas...
Simran and her airhead ways!
Despite her 'sapnon ka rajkumar' bedtime stories, time now, for her to stop misconstruing anything and everything that Shaan says as being hinted at her...
Guess she is the sort who has never really mingled with guys...a guy speaking to her itself must be a big deal!
But Shaan, inadvertently adding to the confusion...will only add to her day dreaming ways!π
Me not likes...me defo not likes!ππΌ
In due course...sooner than later...time for Simran and Adi's bubble to burst ...they sure can seek solace in each other!π
Will add to our solace too!π
In conclusion, a good epi...largely for getting the balance right!
The supporting cast in supporting roles, with ShaNak taking centrestage!π
