I'm in a major song mood!! If I dedicated oru ooril for Khanak in Katra Katra.. I would like to dedicate "ondra renda aasaygal" to this Shanak before the pact is broken😉...

but the last update made me laugh.. it reminded me of one of the biggest fights with my hubby... same situation... I didn't want to go and visit his friends.. and also wanted to talk with my parents.. and he was so impatient.. that when we were driving he said I should have never married... I should have stayed with my parents for the rest of my life.. though I was mad at him that day.. I realised later ( by that I mean years later) that it is not that they want to snatch us away from our parents.. for them its like an acceptance.. a sense of belonging.. of feeling she is mine... a kind of possessiveness

loved the confident Shaan when he said

"Oh! Our pact will be broken before we get on that plane to India Khanak! (soft & ominous)".. so has he planned something for this??

Shaan: We are looking for Exit 12! (breaking the ice)

Khanak is sulking

Shaan: Hey! (reaching out and tapping the pair of bangles on her hand)

She swiftly removes her hand.

Shaan smiles

Shaan:When some one greets you, you are supposed to greet them back!

Khanak: Not if that "someone" is a upset husband! (looks out the window)

Shaan: Atleast we agree I am your husband! (softl)

Khanak: Not funny!

Shaan: We are on 19 B, 7 to go Khanak!

Khanak looks away

When he approaches 12 and does not move to the "Exit lane", she looks at him

He meets her eyes and smiles, before hoppping on to the exit lane

Khanak thinks "Uggghhh! What a blah!"

He turns into Faunce Corner Rd, crossing Route 6 on to Old Westport Rd, the campus is a mile on to their left

She has to look in his direction, he is paying attention and not worried about her at this time, she secretly captures a quick image for her mental archive, his profile, his hands, his sunglasses''''

Its a HUGE campus, the main structure is not very old or very appealing, it looks like its made out of Lego blocks with the second level of the structure jutting out at the interval of every few hundred feet. The lawns are huge and it looks like a sprawling campus. He parks in one of the visitor lots. Its very crowded.

Shaan: (shoving the keys in his pocket walking around to her door, she is out) It's a busy month!

Khanak: Hmmm

Shaan: Lets start from the Admin Bldg, then we can walk towards the campus

She has many questions but is too upset to ask

Shaan: Is there some place you really wanted to see?

Khanak thinks "Where you lived? Your class room! Where you hung out. Who your friends were. Did you have any girlfreinds"

Shaan: Khanak (softly)

Khanak: I'

Shaan: I can do a silent tour also! (grins)

Khanak: Ughhh!

Shaan: Phir baat karo! (grabbing her hand)

Khanak: Not here!

Shaan: Don't be silly! (not letting go)

For the first time, they walk hand in hand in his college grounds, their fingers are linked, his grip is strong and warm, her fingers slender and cool

Shaan: You have the softest hands Khanak!

Khanak: And you have the strongest grip, like it would be impossible to free my hand (surprised)😳

Shaan: It would be...(stopping for a second and looking at her)... I mean it does seem like it doesn't it?😳

They walk towards the admin building wordlessly
