As a viewer of RBO...today's episode sure generated mixed feelings!!
Episode dated 31/05/2011
The core issue of Shaan's aimlessness finally coming to the fore!!
The 'multifactorial' origin of the same being addressed bang-on!!
A party that had 'ripple effects' long after the lights had dimmed...
A man who was completely desolate despite being the cynosure of all eyes...
So what really is the cause of Shaan's current state of non-affairs??
His affluence or his nonchalance or a little bit of both??!!
The introspection...reminiscent of the RBO of yore!!
The dichotomy of the much-present vacuum inside a man who is the omnipresent source of sunshine and cheer...
The sheer depth of thought...the vulnerability of Shantanu Khandelwal as he faces his demons of worthlessnes with absolute honesty...definitely struck a chord!!
Now, to the 'third person perspective'...
As Shaan ripped himself of his cushioned life of security...as he 'bared' himself to confront his demons...as he raised the pivotal question of where he had erred...he, in a sense took the first step towards becoming the Shaan that not just he, but Khanak, the Khandelwals, and all us Odhanians are waiting with bated breath to see...
My mind couldn't help but wonder...
We are all in a sense a victim of our own 'trappings'!!
We carry our own 'baggage'...sometimes knowingly and sometimes unknowingly...
But a huge part of our 'growth curve' is to realise, what out of that baggage can cease to be baggage and turn into our assets instead...
If we are blessed with the intellect to understand the same, it is only a matter of will...only a matter of intent...
The rest automatically unfolds...
With that silent prayer in my heart...
Welcome aboard, Shantanu Khandelwal...
You were sorely missed!!!
