They are an unbelievably beautiful ornament actually!

I simply love those

Baaki brides dont stand out like that

these days I hear even UP and Rajasthani gals wear it!

Very soon Tamil brides will be wearing it also

Bongs have to wear a white & red bangles as well after marriage, they r called 'sankha' & 'pola' but no idea how long they have to wear it. Some I see get it designed with gold & wear 24/7 & some don't & some take it off after a while. But usually there is no fixed numbers. I think 2 red ones & 1 white one on each hand. I maybe wrong. My memory is to be blamed.

And they also have to wear an iron bangle all covered with gold after marriage on their left hand & that is usually gifted by the MIL. Kya purpose hai uska pata nahi!

I was always a tomboy, shaadi ke baad bhi sudhari nahi...so took off at the first chance I got, now I am missing it 😳 my friends/cousins have worn it for 2, 4, 6 months...I don't know anyone do it for a year.

DJ I've got a friend in the UK (punjabi as well) and she said you wear your Chooda either for the year or less if you have a kid before the year's up? She definitely had hers till the 1st year anniversary. 😊.Dont have anything similar in guju traditions..😭😭

And Panchamda! And I love it when KK starts later in the song. It kind of engulfs me in that love & the mischief involved with it. 😃 Whole day I am humming this song.

Awesome Adi.. sounds Good !

Totally agree with u.. Khanak is no abhla nari by any means or angle and that what striked me abt her and fell in love with her.. She is smart and knows when and where & how to open her mouth.. !

True Adi... I've been around male company alot since a kid and brothers who have been extremely close and all I have know men seek brains over beauty first... Khanak was one of them for Shaan her adamant nature and quick with was the one thing that attracted him in the Dhruv - Trishna Eng - their second meeting ! which he was unaware of..

I think most brides wear Chooda these days.. now.. Even Gujju wear a red, white and green bangles with gold work on it...for 21 days at least..
