At entry into the sasural, there is chawal ka kalash girane ki pratha and then she steps into the vermillion liquid and comes in leaving red footprints ... usually collected on a separate cloth and saved in the house.

Just to let you know Aditee, we are waiting patiently. I have gone and hit like button on all posts, reviewed all updates for Sangeet in the 2nd thread. Now trying to keep awake for the juicy parts of the flashbacks.

Asked a gujju fren of mine, ke shaadi mein kya kya hota hai, she tol me the followin

1. Offer 1st weddin invitation to Ganesh ji for which bride ke sab family members ko present rehna padta ahi

2. Bride's mama n family give her gifts

3. There's also some ritual related to the bua which she didn knw

4. ek me artificial dulha dulhan bante barat nikal te hai, masti kind

5. ek me shaadi ka mandap lagate toh usme bhi funcion rehta hai usme dulhan ko bithate hai and there's some ritual after which the bride cant step out of the house

6. aftr marriage, wo mandap pe kuch lagate hai, usko dulhan tod k jati hai, wo kuch symbolise karta hai

7.shadi k bad ganpati darshan, waha darwaza rokte hai n lots of masti (bride ke ghar pe)

Well itna hi pata chala

bidai ke baad ka nahi pata usko
