Part 6A: Destiny has its own sense of humour
It was a bright sunny morning, Khanak woke up lazily, she had decided that today she will not do anything, no applying to production houses, no worrying about the future.. just enjoy the day as it is…
After making coffee she picks up the newspaper to catch up on the world around her, when she reads Khandelwal Group take over the Pierres. She reads it in awe about how they are expanding with each year and how much they have struggled to reach where they are now.. The article was wound up with Mr. Sunil Khandelwal's family, where it is mentioned that "the Senior Khandelwal is proud of his son Akshay Khandelwal has now become the scion and has been the key-player for the take-over, while nothing much is know about Shaantanu Khandelwal the younger son."
And then she thinks to herself… Kaash mein bhi ek dhin asihi kuch karpaathi… mummy aur paapa kithni kush honge... she imagines herself appearing on the front cover of Time-magazine and starts posing like a diva and is lost in her thoughts…
Meanwhile at the Khandelwal house everyone is happy about the take-over and also the article. Although Shaan wants to be a part of this happiness, there is a kind of pain that is suffocating him… He picks up the newspaper and reads again "nothing much is known about Shaantanu Khandelwal".. when Akshay enters his room to share his joy with his lil' brother…"Chote"
Khanak back to the real-world after dreaming, reads the article once again but this time she reads the line which she had missed earlier "nothing much is know about Shaantanu Khandelwal the younger son."
Khanak- hmmm aajeb hai… bade bete ke bare mein likha hai.. aur chote ke bare me kuch patha nahi... Shayad kahin pe MBA kar raha hoga.. ya fir ameer baap ka bigada hua beta hoga jayse philmo mein dikhathe hein... par fir bhi...
And then it strikes her... the card, the roses…
Khanak- iska mein kya karoon… phone karoon ya na karoon… agar yeh koi mazak hai tho… nahi baba.. nahi karoongi… par.. ek phone ki hi bath hai… phone karke.. bus ek thankyou hi kehna hai.. koi rishtha nahi banaana hai na…
At the sametime, in Shaan's room
Akshay- everything all right Chote?
Shaan- ofcourse bro' and I am very happy for you… aur where's the party?
Akshay- kya party varty yaar.. no time at all… ya tho Shaadi ki Shopping, ya koi rasm, yaa Kushboo ke saath uski kissi chacha ki mausi ki beti ke yahan lunch, aur sabse boring bath to Shaadi- gyan.. jo har koi free mein detha hai… aisa lagtha hai ki yeh Shaadi nahi meri barbaadi hai.. ( and his phone rings)
Shaan laughing- barbaadi calling bhaiyya!!
Akshay shushes Shaan – hi Baby… kab…abhi? But baby… Natasha ke saath chali jao na… no baby ..I … oh shit…
Shaan- kya hua
Akshay- battery abhi down hona tha jab.. abh mein kya karoon…
Shaan- aap abhi se Bhaabhi se ithne darthe hein tho Shaadi ke baad tho.. joru ka ghulaam..
Akshay- shut up Shaan… jab tumhari baar aayegi tab mein bhi dektha hoon kaun kisska ghulam banega.. Accha please tera phone dena…
Khanak picks her phone and gives a call.. Please hold the line, the number you are trying to reach is currently busy… is what she hears… she tries a couple of times again and it is still engaged… hmmm.. bus abh mein nahi try karoongi… phir kahbi.. agar vo busy hai.. tho I am also busy being lazy.. and she cuddles her self under the comforter and begin watching her favourite movie QSQT!!...
After his long conversation of begging and pleading Akshay hangs up
Akshay- phew… yeh ladkiyaan bhi naa… meri advice lele Chote… pyaar kahbi na kar aur Shaadi bikul nahi…
Both laugh out loudly and then Akshay leaves to meet Kushboo.. while Shaan is back to his normal self..
Shaan- bechare….
And looks at his phone.. and then realizes that Khanak has still not given a call..
Shaan- kaisi ladki hai yaar… ek phone tak kar nahi sakthi uthna bhi busy nahi ho sakthi.. schiii… agar usse card nahi mila tho.. kyon nahi miltha.. aagrrr…. Ab kya karoon……….

Part6B:
It's a month now since the wedding, which was celebrated pompously.. If at the K-house everything is back to normal, at Khanak's - its been almost 2 weeks since her audition , still no calls and at Shaan's end his movie has been wrapped up but there are no takers for the film…
Both their lives are going through the same downs… life is testing their patience.. they have chosen a path which seems rosy but when treaded is filled with difficulty thorns.
If Khanak's parents feel its better she comes back, finds a job and then settle down in life, Shaan's dad feels he is a shame to the Khandelwal family trying his hands in acting and not even succeeding in it and his mom is also beginning to suggest quitting when he has not even started…
Khanak decides that she will make this last try, before giving up and going back to Dhulwadi. She goes over to the production house, where she is made to wait and then the receptionist informs her that Mr. Suraj Patel has agreed to meet her. And Khanak thinks to herself.. Patel.. zaroor gujrathi honge.. shayad ek gujrathi hi ek gujrathi ke kaam aay
Suraj- Hello Khanak, what can I do for you..
Khanak- ji mein yahan auditions ke bare mein poochne aaiyi thi..
Suraj- sorry Khanak par auditions tho ho chuke hein.. but if you want you can leave your portfolio with Mr. Sinha downstairs..
Khanak- mein ussi auditions ke bare mein poochne aayi hoon.. do hafte pehle meine Auditions dee thee aur uske baad koi information nahi mila
Suraj- oh ok... agar call nahi aaya ho tho iska matlab tum select nahi hui.. sorry
Khanak disappointed- aap kyon sorry bhol rahe hein… anyways thank you for the time
As she leaves Suraj feels there is something in this girl, a kind of pureness, sincerity.. he feels he should do something for her
Suraj- Khanak ek minute.. can you just wait at the reception, I just want to make a call… Hello Mr. Sandeep kya aap mujhe humari nayi serial ki artists file leke aayenge..
As Khanak waits outside ,Suraj flips through the files, looking at the characters and the artists who are going bring life into them, he is dissatisfied with certain choices
Sandeep- actually Sir humne lead role ke liye ek fresh face chunna tha pur MD ne kaha risk baada hoga… aur Diya madam ko liya gaya… TRP sir.. TRP!!
Suraj-Jab inhe Diya ko lena hi thaa, tho auditions kyon raka…
Sandeep- yaad aay Khanak naam ki ladki thi.. humne ussi ko select kiya thaa.. auditions mein kya acting khi thi…powerhouse performer thi..
Suraj- ek minute tumne Khanak kaha…
Sandeep- ji Sir.. Khanak…kyon?
Suraj- accha yeh batao, ki koi behen, ya dost, ya bhaabi ki role open hai?
Sandeep- patha nahi.. Aur ek baath sir, yeh jo lead actor Purav hai na,mujhe nahi lagtha vo bahuth dhin tikega.. I've heard ki usske kuch film offers bhi hein..
Suraj- uss tension hum baad mein deklengene.. Hello Reception can you please send Ms. Khanak to my office
Sandeep- Khanak vo yahan kya kar rahi hai..
Khanak- Hi… can I come in..
Suraj- ya Khanak.. humne abhi abhi decide kiya hai ki, hum tumhe ek chance dena chahte hein… Hummari serial mein lead ki saheli ka role karna chahogi?
Khanak – ji..
Suraj- Sandeep batha rahe the ki aap achhi acting karlethi hein.. tho humne socha why not take you on boat…
Khanak is a little skeptical as she feels she might then he stereotyped to be the lead's friend forever but at the same time she thinks it could be her stepping stone
Khanak- mujhe kuch samay chahiye.. sochne ke liye…
Suraj- no problem take your own time, parson tak batha dena, kyonki Monday tak humme sare characters finalise kar rahe hein… par sochlo Khanak, humare jaisa Production House mein kaam karna har kissi ko aisa chance nahi miltha..
Khanak- thank you, mein zaroor apko Monday tak phone kardoongi…
After Khanak leaves, Sandeep is really confused
Sandeep- kya baath hai Sir.. phull gujju connections ban raha hai ??
Suraj- schiii.. aisi baath nahi.. bus seedi saadi ladki hai.. socha kuch help kardoon..
Sandeep- shuru shuru mein tho sare seedi saadi hothi hai.. bade mein thoo…
Suraj- Sandeep ab yeh sab baathen chodo aur uss Purav ke bare me information nikalo.. varna humari band baj jayegi..
Khanak goes home still wondering what to do… should she take up this offer or not.. she doesn't even know the importance of the character… is it a minuscule role, or does the character have some importance, will this give her a permant side-role image or will someone notice her and give her the break she is looking for.. her mind was trying to answer a million questions…
Kya karoon???
The next day, Sandeep comes to Suraj's office with the confirmed news that the lead actor Purav has indeed signed the contract for a film and that too a big banner.
Sandeep- sale ko films hi karni tho, serial ke liye haan kyon kahaSuraj- gaaliyan baad mein de, pehle yeh batao ki koi back-up hai??
Sandeep- humne tho sirf ladkiyon ki auditions li thi... kyonki pehle se hi Purav decide ho chuka thaa.. ab hum kya karenge.. humare sareke sare regulars yaa tho kisi reality show mein shaadi karrahe hein, ya kisi aur serial mein dialogue maar rahe hein...
Suraj- koi tho hoga. soch yaar..
As they are brainstorming, Suraj remembers a face, whom he had met at a friend's reception, who was trying his luck with acting in Hindi films
Suraj- Shaan
Sandep- who?
Suraj- Shaan naam hai uska.. friend ki Shaadi mein mila thaa.. Ladka dhikne mein tho handsome hai... aur acting bhi karna chahtha hai...
Sandeep- aap tho mahan ho... pur usse monday thak doondenge kaise
Suraj- yeh Mumbai hai boss, yahan contacts se sab chaltha hai... Mein apni friend ko phone lagatha hoon...
Sandeep- aur hume kaise patha usse acting aathi hai ya nahi..
Suraj- arre aaj kal acting kaun dektha hai... handsome ho aur salman jaisse body ho tho kuch bhi chalega.. Aur vaise bhi yeh serial tho Woman Power based hai na usse zyada acting kahan karna hai... kuch dino tak sambal sakthe hein.. aur phir ya tho vo seek jayega, yaa hum us character to katham kardenge...
Sandeep- thussi great ho ji... but Sir agar ussne mana kardiya tho?
Suraj- har kissiko sirf ek chance chahiye... aur mein tho usse lead role offer kar raha hoon... mein use aisa offer doonga ki vo usse refuse nahi karpayega...
Sandeep- lead role...
As they laugh over it, two souls are searching for answers to their future, and destiny has already begun weaving their dreams...
