simi dear loved ur post..

u have indeed raised a valid point...

CVs should stop trying their luck on serious issues..

actually the last time dey had completely dealt wid ne serious issues was the shan-khanak-natasha part, after dat everything just hanged in the middle

1. They started ilu track, to pave way to the sunil-mad track..

2. den the sunil-mad track would have been handled much better, wid focus given on wat actually happened in their lives, but stil it was left uncompleted and it paved way to the rock-on track.

3. Den the most disastrous track in the history of RBO started and some due to lack of flow n lack of proper story n characterisation, even it was like hanging in mid-air n dis paved way to the sunny track.

4. Now again coming to sunny track, phir se kabada kiya , by introducing the mms n infidelity issue...again left unanswered n dis mms track was actually dere to pave way to dhulwadi track.

5. Now, we reached Dhulwadi, n our dear CVs seemed like dey forgot why dese two have actually landed up in dhulwadi, dis track lead to the factory track n anand one.. It had a good potential , even for small time, dis track was on a verge of becoming succesful, but still becoz of the rush, everything became just jumbled up........
gosh! these CVs are even faster than light , i must say

6. At last, dis dhulwadi track has lead to the pregnancy track, which i m glad, as u said , is a romantic comedy track n not a serious one....

on a serious note, its harsh , but RBO has lost its logic since the end of Natasha's chapter ...

but the thing which still keeps me hooked up to dis unlogical stories n various tracks are one and only -

Shanak..Shanak...Shanak......

KT n YM are truely the most gifted gems in dis world...

dey make me glued to the show, no matter what is the plot

awesome topic Simi and it's so true! The MMS and the divorce track with Sunil and Madhvi was not settled properly. I agree that the Dhulwadi track with the factory was rushed in some aspects.

RBO is better off being a rom-com😃

Simi!

I love your post!!!

I agree with your conclusion...but i will come back with more of my thoughts later...

RBO def. is not well with serious issues! They should just leave that out!

I think i had that mentality hence I didn't really say much on it before...

will be back later!

I think unfortunately, concepts are BOXED in entertainment ...

in the sense, when they suddenly decided 'youth' college'...they came up with Rock ON...and shelved Sunil-MAd divorce which in my point was the best indicator of how you don't know what story telling can be....they could have easily had a shanak bringing love back into parents' lives and to think the youth shall not enjoy watching that is quite condescending IMO. Every serious topic can be handled with some amount of subtelity and humor...you may not delve deep into the 'issue' behind the track but you can make the 'track' entertaining....so while the issue of divorce need not be dealt with at all...in the sense, heavy dialogues about divorce rate in India etc....one scene of confrontation or two and loads of shanak in it could have essentially made pathbreaking TV....

My worry with this set of writers is they dont seem to have understood shanak at all....we as viewers and fans understand shanak much better than the writers in many ways...dhulwaadi is classic case to point...

Agree, Agree, Agree!! Even serious issues can be dealt with humor and intelligence without loads of melodrama!!
